You're thinking of "Natural Cures THEY Don't Want You to Know About", by Kevin Treadeau. It was not actually banned by the FDA. Mr. Treadeau was given an injunction by a federal court at the request of the FTC to stop making claims for products that had no therapeutic value. He was recently sued a 2nd time for failing to comply with the court order. That, however, had nothing to do with the book. After reading it, I can tell you it is pure horseshit. As a ND, I am all for natural medicine, but the crap he is talking about is scientifically unsound. If you are interested in natural treatments, a better option would be Murray and Pizzorno's "Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine".

I think it's Kevin Trudeau. I was just looking through his book at Wal-mart today. Apparently there's a lot of good stuff in there that might be really helpful.
