I had a heart attack on 25 january. It didnt feel like a heart attack, just a pulled muscle in my shoulder. After 4 days in the coronary care ward. I was transfered to another hospital for an angiogram. This detectected a blocked coronary artery for which an angioplasty and stents were used. I would like to hear from others who have been through the same proceedures about the recovery process. Before the heart attack I was fairly fit and active, now i'm puffing and panting after a 10 min walk. I'm only 44 and had a cholestrol of 6.3, but I did smoke ( notice the word DID )

I am 19 years old, I exercise, am of average weight, do not smoke, do not drink alcohol or coffee, and I do not consume salt in excess.

My blood pressure is higher than it should be, and is in the "hypertension" range. Why could this be?

The cardiologist said that it was a false positive stress test.
He gave me this diagnosis after doing the angiogram which he said didn't show any plaque.
Does anyone know if this could really be a false positive?
I have been sick for 2 1/2 years with a diagnosis of "medically unexplained".
I feel worse when I stand, and have frozen lower legs and feet, with my pinky just going numb now a month ago.
Doesn't this sound like something is wrong and the dr's are wrong?
Thanks for your help

126/98 with a pulse of 108.
My symptoms before this happened were...dizziness, weakness, and nausea.
About 10 minutes later it went to...Left arm) 140/100 pulse110
and right arm) 142/90 pulse 109.
These are spikes that I have been having lately.
I had a symptoms of my left eye getting all red like blood the last time this happened.
My pulse has gone as low as 45, and the high was 110.
I'm not on any medication because it's usually within normal range, and I never kept track of it before. But lately I've had these wierd feelings which made me start taking it, and each time it has been a spike. I have also used 2 different BP monitors, and they are both the same. I'm worried because the BP is also very different in both arms, and the pulse has a significant difference in both arms.
Any ideas? Thanks

I had AV node re entry. They stopped it with the ablation, but I have had a fast heartbeat and take Bisoprolol every day to keep my heartbeat down to normal. Can they slow down a fast heartbeat with an ablation? I am not in a fib or a flutter, Its just sinus tach.

this started yesterday.
it's nothing big or a huge problem.
but it feels like my heart is beating strong like in strong bangs i can feel it in my chest. Not fast
but it feels like its really pumping away hard when i'm just sitting on my chair. and theres like some sort of tightness where my heart is i think it might be just my muscles but its bothering me.
it's been happening since yesterday. i'm not sure if this is normal or not but it's freaking me out.
i'm only 15 i have atrial ferbilation(sometimes)
what usually happends when i get atrial ferbilation isnt happening now it feels different my heart isnt going fast it just is beating strongly and my chest area around myheart is hurting a bit and feels like theres pressure around there.
what's happening is this seriose? or should i just ignore it.

I had my first episode of SVT a little more than a year ago - 210 bpm - and was hospitalized. Since, I have had four more, about 4 months apart. I have always had the symptoms of the PVC's once I had the SVT episode, but assumed it was a part of SVT. The SVT is controlled by medication, but the PVC's have persisted and worsened. They keep me up at night when they are bad and I feel a very uncomfortable "squeezing" sensation in my chest - at worst I have pain and dizziness with memory "blanks" and inability to think clearly. I wore a monitor for 24 hours and have yet to hear back on it - but the stress test clearly showed PVC's in the doctor's office. I was told it was benign, but they are so extremely uncomfortable I am concerned.

I have been ill for almost a month. I have seen different Dr.'s and on Wednesday I am seeing a surgeon because they believe the pain and vomiting stems from scar tissue from my gallbladder surgery back in 1995. What concerns me is in the last week and a half I have developed serious heart palapitations. I was diagnosed back in 2000 w/a leaky heart valve. Can any of this be tied together. Other symptoms, vomiting, dizziness, cold sweats, and pain in my chest. I'm only 32.

My sister in law just had a baby girl a few weeks ago and they detected a hole in her heart (and some other malfunction of the organ) As well as the possibility of her being deaf. My mother in law said that they are linking the ear abnormality with her heart. I've never heard of this. Does anyone have any idea if the 2 health problems could be linked in any way?

I have had for a long time what feels like a skipped beat, or double beat, I could feel this as a heavy feeling in my chest, so I knew it was happening. A few months ago I had what the doctor said was Bells Palsly. She gave me a type of steriods that I took for a week. To make a long story short....My face cleared up, got all the movement back..and my heart stopped missing beats too, I had these sometimes 5 or more times a day, sometimes less, but now, I have yet to feel anything in months. I guess Im wondering if the steriods helped my heart?
