Being an ex-convict should not prevent you from qualifying for a heart transplant,I read of a case where a prison inmate was given a heart transplant.

I'm pretty sure they don't do a criminal back round check before putting you on the list for a transplant. The best way to really know is to call an organization anonymously and ask.
