Should your Spouse or Parents be allowed to decide whether you live or die? Should they decide if you get taken off Life Support?

If you have a living will a hospital or doctor will have to go by that.
The only time a family member or spouse can make that decision is if you never gave instructions before hand. If you are a minor the choice is your parents.
Other than that..the choice is yours. If you have a specific idea of how you want things done..I suggest you get a living will and give a copy to your regular Doctor.

Steph' answer is not completly correct. If on the living will u have a healthcare surrogate, they DO NOT have to follow the living will.
