I had AV node re entry. They stopped it with the ablation, but I have had a fast heartbeat and take Bisoprolol every day to keep my heartbeat down to normal. Can they slow down a fast heartbeat with an ablation? I am not in a fib or a flutter, Its just sinus tach.

I don't think they'd do it for a fast rate that's sinus rhythm, only for an abnormal rhythm. Meds usually work well, maybe you need another med.

Radiofrequency ablation is widely used. It's the preferred treatment for many types of rapid heartbeats. It has a success rate of over 90 percent and a low risk of complications. Patients who have this done can resume normal activities in a few days. It causes little or no discomfort and is done under mild sedation with local anesthesia.
