Well for a while now at times I have sharp pains in my chest. Then If I inhale, it feels like my heart is pulling or something. Then at other times it feels very heavy and it just hurts alot. I have mitral vavle prolapse and its when one vavle in my heart doesnt completely close. The doctor said I was fine about 5 months ago, but I guess the pain has gotten worst. Then it feels like my heart is beating extra hard. I just don't know, but is there anyone who knows?

I've been getting conflicting information regarding the safety of this medication. Can anyone give me some accurate details about this particular drug? Your help would be greatly appreciated. I realize all/any prescription medicine comes with side effects, but what do you know about verapamil?

I recently joined a weight loss clinic and was put on a metabolic enhancer, flaxseed, multivitamins and protein shakes to loose weight. But, I have been feeling anxious, jittery, and cannot sleep. I'm 44. When I talked to the clinic they said not to be concerned. Should I be concerned? Something doesn't sit right with me especially if my body is telling me different. Any information would be appreciated.

My father had 2 blockages repaired yesterday and today the sent him home. He is 82 and he is experiencing extreme lightheadedness to the point of passing out when he got home. About a week ago he had a heart attack. Could he be just weak from what he has been through? I am very worriede. He says his chest is not hurting.

I currently am having chest pain which radiates to the upper back between the shoulder blades. I feel the discomfort during inspirations and expirations with slight dizziness. However when i take my blood pressure, it shows 138 over 82 with heart beats per minute at 64. I do cadiovascular exercise three to four days a week for about an hour and sometimes more. I do smoke cigarettes, about 20 per three to four days. Is it possible to have a heart attack with normal vitals? should i rush to an emergency room?

My friend's mum had an open heart surgery and is now in coma.
When will she wake up? Is she in a "death threatening" situation?
Please enlightened me as I am most concern about this matter.

Please explain why heartbeat is now irregular after having triple bypass surgery 4 days ago. Patient said heart is like a car starting but not firing on all cylinders. These palpitations are making his head move to the left side. Adrenalin drip may be administered if tablets do not work.

My friend, 28, while on ski vacation was diagonsed w/ SVT and the cardiologist he/she saw recommended a cardiac ablation to cure his/her disease. His/her travel insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions. Is SVT considered a congenital disease or can he/she medically prove that this incident happened during a travel and never existed before he/she commenced his/her vacation.

Why there is swelling in the left ankle only sometimes? When this happens it lasts for several days and once it is gone there are no such symptoms for many days.
