my heart is enlarged i have shortness of breath. slight cough .need some advice. I had by-pass 14 years back .Ihad 2stents done 10 yrs back. Now confirmed 3 blocks. Any complementary / alternative medicine

It sounds like you're going into congestive heart failure ( I have the exact same problem - stents included)
You need to stay on your medication and follow the Dr's advice religously, but you CAN take some supplements that help with the fluid and heart action - but ONLY with your doctor's permission.
There is some good info at the website listed below, but always check with your doctor first, before taking supplements.
I take CoQlO, an amino acid called Carnitine, Beta-carotene, Magnesium and Vitamin E, along with fish oil capsules - but ALL with my doctors permission. I also really watch what I eat and mostly eat fruits and veggies now.

You first must make sure that you are not overweight . I also know that a surgeon in I think it was South Africa performed operations on enlarged hearts where he cut away fatty tissues from the heart wall.. I saw it on a documentary but it was a few years ago and Ive never heard anything about it since.
