Your friend seems to have pretty good blood pressure readings. 120/80 is considered a "normal" pressure in most people. Some people normally are a bit more elevated, some people tend to be a bit lower and that is perfectly ok, depending on that persons gender, height, weight, etc. 110/70 is an example of being a tad low, but it's not alarming.
A person can experience a mini-stroke, or a series of mini-strokes and sometimes not be aware that it's happening. Those who experience strokes that are more severe, generally have symptoms of loss of sensation on one side of the body, or in extreme cases, total paralysis on one side of the body. The face is a tell tale sign. The eyelids can droop drastically, and the patient can also have paralysis in the mouth area causing them slurred speech and drooling.
With any circulation problem, dizziness can be a symptom, but that symptom alone doesn't necessarily mean that you are having a stroke.
Some hypertension medications have the tendency to cause dizziness. Those warnings are usually on the prescription bottle. This is not uncommon.
If your friend consistantly has these problems, or is concerned about the regulation of blood pressure, please advise this person to consult their doctor and get an accurate diagnosis. It's imperative that you keep a good vigil on this. Hypertension can indeed cause strokes and heart attacks, but if well regulated, you will have a healthy and normal life.
Please take care.

No those are not stroke symptoms. They sound more like low blood sugar.
The American Stroke Association wants you to learn the warning signs of stroke:
Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
Sudden, severe headache with no known cause

This could be a cardio-vascular problem from changing the medicine. He should make sure that his heart is OK.
It could also be how he feels with blood pressure lower than he was used to previously.
I used to get low blood pressure and had similar sounding symptoms. Does he feel worse when he stands from sitting or lying down? That's when I would be most dizzy and nearly black out.

Since I'm not a doctor and not qualified to diagnose, the only thing I can say is .....He needs to seek professional help ASAP! The blood pressure looks good. The sweating and feels cold and some dizziness sound like , either he is adjusting to the medication. Read the information they now attach with the medication, for side effects.....Or get him a glass of ORANGE JUICE after he drinks that if he begins to feel better, then maybe its low blood sugar. In any case he MUST see a doctor, for all of those things just to be safe.
BELOW ARE 3 LINKS PLEASE PRINT AND HANG SOMEWHERE FOR YOU AND YOU FRIEND IN CASE OFEMERGENCY ALONG WITH 911, DR. PHONE NUMBER AND THE HOSPITAL.

Heart Attack Symptoms and Warning Signs

If you think you're having a heart attack, call 9-1-1 or your emergency medical system immediately.
Some heart attacks are sudden and intense — the "movie heart attack," where no one doubts what's happening. But most heart attacks start slowly, with mild pain or discomfort. Often people affected aren't sure what's wrong and wait too long before getting help. Here are signs that can mean a heart attack is happening:
Chest discomfort. Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts more than a few minutes, or that goes away and comes back. It can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain.
Discomfort in other areas of the upper body. Symptoms can include pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach.
Shortness of breath. May occur with or without chest discomfort.
Other signs: These may include breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness
As with men, women's most common heart attack symptom is chest pain or discomfort. But women are somewhat more likely than men to experience some of the other common symptoms, particularly shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, and back or jaw pain.
If you or someone you're with has chest discomfort, especially with one or more of the other signs, don't wait longer than a few minutes (no more than 5) before calling for help. Call 9-1-1... Get to a hospital right away
