My father had 2 blockages repaired yesterday and today the sent him home. He is 82 and he is experiencing extreme lightheadedness to the point of passing out when he got home. About a week ago he had a heart attack. Could he be just weak from what he has been through? I am very worriede. He says his chest is not hurting.

You should definetly call his doctor, or cardiologist tonight. This might be OK, but it might not be. People shouldn't feel dizzy like that. Normally, they are up and about after going home. There's no bleeding from the site is there? Is his B/P OK? Just some thoughts. Hope he feels better soon.

i suppose there have been stint insertions. He has been lying down for a considerable time so he can become light headed. If in doubt contact the cardiac department where the operation was done. sounds like he may have a low blood pressure on him, need to get it checked out.....he will feel weakness after the surgery for several days that is to be expected and if he is laying around a lot then when he gets up it may cause the lightheaded feeling with a drop in bp.....just get him checked out as a safety measure
