there's a defibrillator that 'shocks' a heart back into (hopefully) a better rhythm. There's pacemkers, that regulate a heart beat. There's also AICD=automatic internal cardiac defibrillators=works like a pacemaker sort of, but instead of pacing it automatically shocks the heart from inside, instead of outside. Hope this helps

i think you are talking either about a pace maker or a defibulator. a pace maker makes your heart beat at a certain rate and a defibulator shocks your heart if you have a heart ache. hope that helps

Pace maker.....keeps it charging
Defibrillator....shocks it, my dad has one because he has heart disease.
