I have been taking Benadryl which severely dehydrates me and causes me to drink liquids constantly and pee frequently. I have tried Claritin and it didn't work for me. If I do not take the Benadryl I sneeze constantly, my ears plug up, and my sinuses itch terribly... I live in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, and rain seems to worsen my symptoms. I do not have insurance and can't see a doctor. Have any suggestions?

I am terribly allergic to cats. My eyelids feel like sandpaper, I get 'asthma', my throat and mouth feel very painful, nose stuffy but running, the skin on my hands even gets sore. My girls love them and also, their sitter(our neighbor) has one inside. This is tearing me up! Meds don't even touch it. I've tried it all, even prescriptions.

I have been using Flonase for the past 10 years, and it has worked great. But now I have no medical benefits, so I am looking for an over the counter alternative to Flonase. Does anyone know of any or will I be forced to spend a lot to money to get a doctor prescription.

I woke up wednesday morning with wat looked like mozzy bites.. i threw up not even 5 mins of waking up... anyway.. it wasnt to bad then.. later that day they got really itchy and it had now looked like hives.. Mum went to the chemist to get some antihistamine tablets and some cream. I had a shower to which i collapsed suddenly to the floor. Feeling really dizy and faint. Thursday I couldnt stand up or sit up without feeling really ill by this stage whatever it is had spread all over my body. Mum took me to the doctors, we showed him, and he said it was an allergic reaction to something. He gave me some medication and now its going down on my legs, but as for my back its sorta worse... My face feels tender and slightly swollen.

We cannot figure out as to what it could of been caused from.. Any Ideas?

The only thing I can think of is that my boyfriends brother had a rash when i was there last.. I had no idea till my bf told me over the fone last night. Does anyone know?

About 5 years ago I woke up with a horrible rash all over my body. I had eaten shrimp the night before, and although I'd never had any problems from shrimp, my doctor suspected I could've acquired an allergic reaction to it. There is speculation that I could've had a reaction to the bed I'd slept on that night also. Anyway, I want to get tested for shrimp allergies because I absolutely LOVE shrimp, and want to eat it again. Does anyone know how much allery tests cost, and what they entail? I really want to eat shrimp again.

This person also gains 10-15 lbs. almost over night. This person is also on 200mg.of Methadone and has never had this problem before. The severe swelling lasted for 1 week and then disapated. No medication was taken during the swelling. A doctor was extremely concerned that it might have possible liver or colon implecations which could be terminal. The doctor wanted him to take 4 types of bloodwork but, of course he didn't do it .

I'm very prone to allergic reactions, including Anaphylaxis. I've been carrying an Epinephrine (Epi) Pen for a year now. Most of the causes are idiopathic, which gets very frustrating.

I was just wondering if there are any others on here who have Anaphylaxis or are prone to this allergic shock?

My dog has been living inside our home for the past 2 1/2 years. I am allergic to the dog and we have made the decision to remove the dog from the home (now living at a friends home). How long will it take for the dander proteins that are throughout my home to no longer be an active allergen?

My son wakes during the night with tummy pains caused by wind - which is caused by certain foods. I have tried to cut out certain foods from his diet - but I really need to confirm which foods don't suit him. My GP isn't too forthcoming about having his blood tested. What is my next course of action? Homeopathy, privately or any other complementary way? Please give any information you have or experience! Many Thanks.

This sounds crazy but I have tried Benadryl and Claritin for post nasal drip. In each case I felt fine during the day, but when I went to sleep I found it hard to describe the symptoms but it was like a half awake nightmare, my brain seemed to be on hyperdrive and I felt like banging my head on the wall or screaming. I watched TV the rest of the night.I'm also on Sudafed and guaifenesin which seems OK.Anyone else experienced this? It happened once before when I was on Norpramin for a neuropathy

ok so sometime around 3 to 5 years ago i noticed when i eat (in my opinion specifically sugary foods) my chest and somewhat neck turns red and blotchy. i get feelings around my heart im not sure if they could be considered heratburn or not but it kind of feels like filled with air and seems to make noises like my stomach growling...but i usually get these after eating or drinking sodas. also recently ive noticed when eating sweets escepcailly cakes with sugary icings like thise from grocery bakerys i get this feeling like im going to vomit. i also noticed the other day whille eating a klondike bar that my arm was itchy and i noticed it had little bumps all over it almost like a rash. i dont know if this means anything but i have awful allergies right now due to weather and im also getting occasional headaches and backpains almost every day. so could all these symtomns be the result of a sugar intollerance, sugar allergy, glucose or surcose intollernce or do have any idea of what it is

I go into anaphylactic shock, and use my EpiPen and then feel fine?

I recently had a serious allergic reaction that I just waited out, without going to the hospital like I should have. I hate having to go to the hospital and get all that medication shot into my system. The last time I had anaphylaxis and went to the hospital I felt like I was about to die, it was the worst feeling ever.
I just want to know if I use my EpiPen, even though it says to go to a doctor within a 1/2 hour - but if I feel fine, should I still go?

Thanks! :)

btw - if it helps, I am allergic to tree nuts and peanuts, cats, mosquito bites, dust and mold. (yeah, I should just kill myself. lol)
