I have allergy on grass pollen and have been taking winter injections since 3 years. They say that after 3-5 years, the regular immunization therapy will take effect and symptoms will be reduced.

I already see some improvements compared to last summer, but maybe it is just that these weeks there was less pollen in the air. I am really really hoping to get better and be able to forget about this illness one day! :)

Please inform me if you know some success stories - I think, hearing them would really give me some hope!

Also, if the answer is yes to my question, please tell me if you applied any kind of alternative medicine techniques or lifestyle changes (nutrition changes, meditation, yoga, others) that helped you.

Thanx in advance,
Miss Hope
:-)

My sister (over 30) was diagnosed with GERD and refuses to take her Prilosec. She has GERD appropriate reactions to peanuts and chocolate but insists that she is allergic and lives in fear or eating or coming in contact with them. She also had an adverse reaction to something and now believes she is allergic to eggs. She has never been diagnosed with these or any food allergies and all her symptoms are consistant with GERD. How do I help her be more logical about this?

Since last November I've been experiencing relatively strong fatigue due to sinus problems (enough to keep me away from the gym).

In December I got Prednisone for the first time but that only healed me for like a week.

This year I had two surgeries that totaled around 11 hours on the operating table.

About a week after I finally started to feel normal, but a little knocked out due to the extent of the surgery.
Then BAM I get hit with a sinus infection thats lasted for the past 2 weeks and isn't getting any better. I'm on steroids, antibiotics, and god knows what else.

Does this ever get better or will I be living the rest of my life in a lethargic haze? By the way I'm 22 years old.

I get it from May, and take antihistamines every day. Even so, today it just went wild. My bf had the same thing. Did anyone else get this? Is there a particular sort of pollen about today that has just been released? How come my antihistamines aren't working?

How do I figure out what's causing my allergies? I get the sneezing, upper respiratory reactions. I have no idea what sets them off. I've been around the usual suspects, such as animal dander, dust, smoke, and pollen. Sometimes I get allergies around these things and sometimes not. And then there's days like today. I woke up and went through my normal routine and all the sudden the allergies appear. All the allergy medicines I've taken don't help me at all. Should I see a doctor?

I got a tetanus shot about 3 weeks ago and I think I remember reading that if I feel soreness around the spot where the shot was given I should call my doctor. I can not find my paperwork from the appointment so I am not sure what it said. Ok so my question has anyone ever heard of this before? I think that it could be and allergic reaction. If so what might be wrong? Please do not answer call your doctor I will call her on Monday just was wondering in the mean time?

My son already has hayfever aged 18 months and I have been given an antihistamine to give him. I worried about hi taking this potentially for years and whether this could have any negative effect on his body/allergic responses/immune system longer term.

Normally allergy sufferers turn ON the air conditioner and close the windows to stop sneezing. The pollen is outside. But this past weekend, it got hot here in Los Angeles, and I used the air conditioner (central air) instead of leaving windows open. I started sneezing a lot, and had to take Claritan to relieve my symptoms.

Then it got cooler and I opened the windows again. Today, I got hot and sweaty moving some furniture, and I turned on the air conditioner again to cool off. Once again my sneezing started!

What could be causing this? I did notice a few months ago that the intake vent for the air conditioner was very dusty, so I opened it up and vacuumed dust out of it. The filter in front of the intake vent (should it even have a filter?) didn't quite fit exactly in the hole, but I left it there after washing it in the bathtub and letting it dry.

Serious answers only, please. If anyone has had the same problem, you have a better chance at getting "Best Answer". Thanks.
