There are a lot of different allergy medications on the market now. The newest ones (and often the most potent) are prescription. Our doctor often prescribes steriod nasal sprays like Flonase or Nasonex. Sometimes they will even give you a cortisone shot which will prevent a lot of the symptoms. I would ask your doc!!
One of the most simple things to do is to shower before you go to bed. This washes off all the pollen on your body and in your hair and helps reduce the symptoms in the morning.

There are other meds like zyrtec, allegra etc. However you can even get shots but that takes a long time. An allergist can skin test you to find out what your actual allergies are. Not always are they able to find out but most can help. Removing the allergens is important if you can.

try benedryl, also do outdoor stuff at times when pollen is low like midday, usually early morning and evening are when it's the highest. Try washing your hair, shower after being outside, it gets pollens off your hair and body. Air purifiers help, so do air conditioners. Vitamin C helps some, not sure why but it does, I use it. Try saline nose sprays for stuffiness.

if u have try every over the counter product ..the next step is to see your doctor for localize drug..like nasal spay and eye drops...if that does not help you need to see a specialist to go through a series of test to check out what you are allergic to . after that you will need to get shots through your doctor over a period of time....

for a non prescription- try chlorpheniramine although it can cause drowsiness. Naso chrom nasal spray also helps. For prescription try Allegra- it usually doesn't cause sedation.
