this has happened before and it usually lasts for about a week. i have no contact with gasoline but i keep smelling it and i think that others can't. it's very frustrating and i don't know if the cause is an allergy, a cold or intestinal wards. please help me, i am going crazy here. thank you!

i think i also might have sept deviation (i can't quite breathe with one nostril) so the infection could be right... if i have a tumour i'm keeping it

Have your sinuses checked. I had a sinus infection for over a year and kept smelling burned rubber. It was awful, especially when no one else could smell it!

phantom smells of things that aren't there (citrus, pencil shavings, smoke) can be signs of a brain tumor.
