My eyes always look bloodshot. I do not do drugs. I do drink on occasion, but not enough to make my eyes be so red. They burn ans sometimes itch. Any suggestions?

I know for many people hay fever (allergic rhinitis)is a minor annoyance. But, there are those of us for whom it is truly debilitating. Why is it that many people just dismiss it or disbelieve those who suffer greatly? Is it because you can't see the nasal inflammation that produces the pain? Is it because many doctors do not take it seriously enough? It may not result in death directly but can disable many.
I do not mean to whine about it but would like to hear what other sufferers have to say about this psychological aspect of dealing with the disease. Any imput would be appreciated!
Please note that I am not talking about treatments here as I have had this for many, many years and have tried most treatment modalities. I, also, keep up with the latest in research. I am really just trying to get a handle on how those with severe allergic rhinitis deal with it!!

this rashes seem to be results of allegic reaction to some spices in food or as a result of changing my face cream and soap, nothing i used seemed to work. if i discontinue the use of my facial cream and soap, it gets really bad after the 3rd day, meanwhile, the products do not remove the rashes. it only stops it from increasing.
pls help

I've eaten shrimp my entire life, but last night I ordered some at a mexican restaurant, and after I had eaten a few, my tonsils felt tighter, like maybe my throat was beginning to swell shut. I quit eating and a few hours later the feeling went away.

Could I have developed an allergy to shrimp 17 years into my life? Or maybe I was allergic to some spice they put in there? Or maybe I might just be getting sick from something completely different?

As long as I stay away from sugar and use substitutes I'm fine...But the minute I eat candy bars, ice cream or whatever, I start to sweat, body swells and my sinuses act up...

Most of the sweets are chocolate and chocolate cake is the worst!...

My allergies have been the worst the past 2 weeks. I haven't felt like this in about 6 years. Can anyone suggest a really good OTC med for nasal congestion and sinus pressure? I've tried many of them...but I hate to spend more money on stuff that just doesn't work. What works for you? Help me please...I can't breathe outta my nose!!

I have heard that if I am allergic to ragweed, then I am also allergic to chamomille. Does Lemongrass also fall into this category?

I'm looking for clinical studies or expert opinion (board certified allergists) on how long it can take for an allergic reaction to appear after the allergen has been eaten. So far, most articles and books on the subject of allergies and food allergies brush over that detail. Most say an allergic reaction can take up to 4 hrs or 6 hrs. Once in a while an "expert" who is not an allergist will say it can take 24 to 48 hours. Has anyone actually studied it in double blind environment?
