In my early 20s, I drank heavily and almost daily without any real problems. The past 5 years it's very rare if I ingest any alcohol more than once a month. The past 1-2 years I've noticed that the day AFTER I drink I develop a painful skin 'condition' which feels like just a sunburn WITHOUT any redness/flushing/rash. It usually involves my upper arms, torso and thighs being painful when touched. It takes anywhere between 2-5 days before fully going away. It has happened with as little as 2 beers (or more), mixed liquor drinks or wine.

I read much about alcohol related allergies but found nothing involving this particular symptom. Most refer to rashes or flushing of the skin which I never have. I haven't found anything about painful skin. Has anyone heard of this? Could this be a simple allergy or a symptom of some other problem? Liver or kidney disorder? If it's dehydration, why would this be happening now and never in the past?

We just moved and we havn't found the peak flow or the puffer-and I am not in any condition to move boxes.
My breathing has been cut in half and I got a colkd. I started the cold on thusday night.
I am not able to sleep at night, but if I do then it is only for an hour. I have been sleeping on and off today every 2 hours or so.
The next time I can take my nebulizer is in 1 hour...What is a good thing to do to increase breathing without meds?

my sisters has three cats which i am highly allergic to. when i do go to her house i usually cant stay for any longer than 15 minutes or i'll start sneezing and itching and my nose just starts pouring. well i went over to her house yesterday for a dinner party and i took a zyrtec allegry pill about 1 hour before arriving to her house. I was ok for about an hour but then it was over, i was miserable again. so i was wondering if it was ok to take two, maybe it might last longer.

This is not caused by any disease and please be warned that the picture does not look so good - a bit scary I should say. Anyone have seen like this before?

When ever I drink or eat anything with dairy my throat begins to hurt almost immediately and feel like it's tightening, and my stomach starts to hurt, and it takes a bit more effort to breathe. Could this be an allergy, because I've heard that most people who are lactoce intolerant aren't really affected by cheese??

When I eat yeast raised breads, my throat constricts or I develop a cough. But when I eat muffins or bisquits (made with baking soda or powder) No problems.

I would so appreciate some input on this. I am 65 and this just began in the last couple of years.
I have also acquired Rheumatoid Arthritis. I'm wondering if these can be related in any way.

Thanks to all who respond.

My nose runs everytime I go from one room to a different room, any time there is even the slightest change in temperature. I don't have any alergies(non that show up on tests) , and I don't have a cold. It happens whenever I walk outside, or go from the lobby of a building to another floor. Does this happen to anyone else? I'm otherwise healthy, but would really like to not carry tissues with me everywhere. Also, people always assume I'm sick, and I don't like for them to feel uncomfortable, because I'm not contagious.

I woke up this morning and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I did not notice any thing unusual on my face before brushing my teeth, but when I started brushing my teeth, I began to have this burning sensation on my lips, and within seconds, the left side of my lips began to swell. The burning decreased when I washed the toothpaste away from my lips, but the rash or pimple- like swelling remained on the left side of my lips. Is this an allergic reaction, and am I allergic to toothpaste? This is very surprising to me, because I have never had any physical allergic reaction to any thing before- apart from the usual sneezing when I am around dust or heavy scented perfumes- and I have been using the same bottle of toothpaste for the past 3 weeks. I am beginning to think that this might be a result of something else. Please I would appreciate any clues as to what this is.
