We just moved and we havn't found the peak flow or the puffer-and I am not in any condition to move boxes.
My breathing has been cut in half and I got a colkd. I started the cold on thusday night.
I am not able to sleep at night, but if I do then it is only for an hour. I have been sleeping on and off today every 2 hours or so.
The next time I can take my nebulizer is in 1 hour...What is a good thing to do to increase breathing without meds?

If you can drink a fair amount of water, that usually helps me. If I am feeling wheezy I drink 3 or 4 glasses of cold water and it helps. Also, try turning the water in the sink on as hot as it will go and put your face over the sink with a towel draped over your head. A few minutes of this and my chest loosens up and I'm not as wheezy. (Not only will this help you breathe, it will open and clear your pores for you!) Asthma is nothing to mess with, and you should see your doctor soon and make sure your asthma is well under control. I use Advair every day, and it does the trick for me. Be careful, and I hope you feel better!

Run hot water in bathroom with the door closed and sit in steam for a bit. It should help with breathing. My sis has asthma and this helps, also straight up hot coffee, no sugar or cream, you can have decaf if you want to try and sleep. I hope this helps.

Try a peppermint or some peppermint tea(Peppermint opens up the bronchial). I am asthmatic and this has saved me from a trip to the E.R on numerous occasions. You most likely will need to see a doctor soon however. Please take care of yourself and see doctor soon. I am sure that you are aware of the severity of a condition like ours. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

If you need to use your albuterol more than every four hours, then you should go to the er or see yor doctor right away. You might need more medication to avoid getting sicker.
