my dad itches constantly around the neck and lower back. Is this a side effect, allergy, the result of hard water, or simply the stress of being 87? The dermatologist doesn't seem to know.

But what is it about sorghum that causes this? With wool on my skin, I am allergic to the texture and the lanolin oils. Yet I can wear cashmere and angora.

My boyfriend says he is allergic to cats. When he comes over, I put my cat in the basement and then he is fine. He claims that when he is around cats, his eyes itch, but when the cat is not in the room he is fine although there is cat hair and dander thruout the house.

For about 6 months now I have begun forming a soft waxy or soft plasticky appearing solid mass of gunk that eventually will drop out of my eustation tube into my mouth/throat (I think, from the physiological drawings I have seen that this is where it is coming from). Prior to it dropping into my mouth I will begin feeling, with my tongue, a rough area on the side of my throat (behind my back teeth). It feels like I am getting a sore throat but am not really ill at all. I can touch the area with my finger and it feels unsmooth. Eventually, after about 5 days this thing will dislodge itself and fall into my mouth. The first couple times it just went down my throat and was a surprise. Since then I have been aware of what is going on and have acutally retrieved the thing to have a look at it. Should I be concerned about this thing? I haven't gone to see the doctor because I don't feel ill and haven't a really good explanation of what this is.

she has with her eyes, burning itching, and after a while her eyes close up. She just puts a cool wet wash cloth on her eyes until they get better, then she finally is able to open her eyes.
Our families enjoy going out together, but when she has a glass of wine, this almost always happens.
What can I suggest to her to use, or take, etc. before she drinks a glass of wine, to help prevent this ?
Or should she give up drinking any kind of alcohol that contains sulfites altogether ?

Hi all! I have read up on the Tinnitus thing. I have even visited an ENT. I was given no solution to my ear problem. My right ear feels full and rings quite a bit. I was wondering if there was indeed a way to stop this ringing. I feel like it is realted to my severe allergies. I almost feel like, since mucus is constantly draining from my nose and down my throat, that some of the fluid is getting into the ear. Am I correct in thinking this? Are there any solutions to this problem?

I'm a nurse but I've never heard of this before.
Recently, I have tried to take Tylenol PM and Benadryl as a sleep aid. I have never had to take Benadryl before as I am very healthy, do not have any allergies, and do not get sick often. However, I reacted very oddly to Benadryl- I became restless- I couldn't sit still! I felt that I didn't have any control over my body and I kept twitching. This was happening as I was trying to sleep, but I almost had a paradoxical reaction and was kept wide awake! What kind of reaction would you call this; and has anyone ever heard of this before (esp Medical people?) Help! Any other information would be greatly appreciated!

I have noticed recently that everytime I have milk, I have very very bad indigestion/heart burn and which cannot be explained by anything else except the fact that I might be lactose intolerant. I can take other dairy products but not milk in its purest form...Will be very grateful for answers and additional info on the topic..
Thanks!

Ok...I had asthma when I was 6 years old. I got rid of it at age 9. Im 15 now! I started getting sick about a week and a half ago (sinus infection) and was sneezing alot. Now I'm coughing alot, and there is weezyness in my chest and im coughing stuff up. Someone told me they think that my asthma came back, but I don't think so, because I wasn't coughing and all that until I got my sinus infection. Today, my nose bled when I sneezed. Could my nose be bleeding from that because I'm sneezing to hard, or because I'm sneezing so much? I think that's what it is, and I asked my teacher and she said probably. It does'nt bleed unless I sneeze REALY hard. But then I'm thinking it could be something else to. Am I dying?
