If you are going to take Over the Counter cold medacines like Benadryl you need to read the warming labels and Take them seriously. I have had allergies all my life and as a child and teenager I took Benadryl Everyday to help relieve the congestion. Well the warning on the box says it may cause Arthritus, which i thought oh well that won't happen. Well i'm in my early 20's and i have to have both my knees replaced from arhtritus in a couple years. So just be careful what you take or don't take. Also some nasal sprays may become addictive so asks your Doctor before you start to use them.
I've used Rhinocore or something like that, and i thought it worked okay...but it burns a little like salt burns. I used Flonase and i thought it was worthless. You can only use so many sprays in one day though.

Check with your local pharmacy. You may have an allergy to something in which case you will need antihistamines, such as piriton, on the other hand you may just have a head cold and therefore something like sudafed liquid or tablets would help. It is important to check with a pharmacist in order to -
1. Check if its an allergy or cold.
2. Check that the medication is suitable for you, as some medical conditions may mean these medicines are unsuitable for you.

One good thing for that is day med from Vick's.
Get the orange capsules from a drug store or supermarket. Take 2 every 6 hours. It stops runny noses, cough, and flu aches quite well.

If the runny nose is not cold/flu induced but due to allergies, try benadryl, also available in supermarkets/drugstores.

Lemsip Max strength always works for me. It has a decongestant that dries up and runny nose, paracetamol for the related aches and pains and caffeine to perk you up and give you some much needed energy.

Take its shoes away.

Seriously, you need to address the reason it's running. Do you have allergies? There are many OTC allergy medications, including Claritin, which may work. Beware that some make you drowsy, esp. those containing benadryl.
Do you have a cold? You can take an antihistamine to dry up your nose but you are mostly going to have to wait it out.
Is this a chronic thing? You could have a sinus infection. You may want to consult a doctor.

This is a sure sign of Griebaturism, very rare, but I have come upon it before, not here in England but while touring the Keys in Florida, one of the islands is called Marathon, there they have a family who are called the Griebats, this family have been inbreeding for close to three centuries, in some severe cased namely one in France shortly after the first world war, they hung Herbert Montaray Griebats, thinking him a monkey, sounds crazy I know. The condition of Griebaturism manifests itself by way of covering either parts or in rare cases all of the body with excess hair. I would suggest not considering building a family as the horror of bearing a chimp like child to be too much to bear. Lots of luck to you

Fill your sink with very hot water or boil water in a large pot. Put a towel over your head, not allowing the steam to get out. breath in the steam for 5 minutes, allow everything to run. after the 5 minutes. blow your nose. It shouldnt run after that.

don't try to stop it as running is healthy, I would suggest you buy a good pair of running shoes and run along with your nose.
