Oatmeal and baking soda bathes are supposed to be very good for skin rashes and itches.

But you'll want to take other action too. For instance, start using an allergen-free laundry detergent. From what you say, you may be allergic to the one you have. Also, check your bath soap and make sure you're not allergic to that.

Good luck!

I'm sorry you have this problem, I hope some of these pages offer help. First try to figure out what is causing the problem.
Rashes are often caused by contact with an irritating substance (oil from poison oak or ivy plants, ingredients in cleaning products and cosmetics, chemicals in swimming pools or hot tubs, pollutants in the air and water, etc.). Some have viral causes (such as roseola, rubella, measles), and others appear for no apparent reason. If possible, the cause of a rash should be determined and removed. Homeopathic remedies can be useful in many cases, to soothe the itching, inflammation, and discomfort.
The first link might help with finding a type of rash and treatment.
The second link has some natural health options with treatments.
I do hope these help and you get better quick!!!
Good luck, and God Bless You!!

Baking soda is a neutralize for the ph in your skin. Run a warm bath pour in about a 1/2 cup of baking soda in the water and sit down and pour it over the rashed or itching area for several minutes. Get out of the tub, pat your skin dry. Do this twice a day. Do not use creams or other ointments after this. Used this remedy when I was a kid, worked fine then and does the trick for me now. Hope it will help you.

My sister uses this stuff called Eucerien. It looks and feels just like crisco, but if you slab some on before bed at night when you wake in the morning you will feel great. Start useing a shower gel with shea butter in it too. Soap reallly drys your skin out.

Oatmeal baths. But plain oats in something like a panty hose and allow it to float in the water while you soak in the tub. It works for my 4 yr old.
