Find out all the names of the items you are allergic to, such as dairy is also casien and whey, etc etc. Make up a business card list with a short alert on the top. Such as I am Allergic to Dairy and Eggs. Please read labels for me or allow me to read the labels of the foods I'd like to order. then below this write out the list of ingredients you need to be alert to.

Start with one local restaurant and visit repeatedly. Now that being said some chain restaurants will have a nutrition pamphlet already printed and available. As you become more experienced with this condition yourself you will learn to identify which foods will likely have hidden sources of you allergen.

Cookies, cakes, soups, ice creams , etc, etc. It will be a long year ahead of you, but read labels, read more labels and read those labels again.

Search out groups on the internet, www.glutenfreekitchens.com has a group of great helpful people with gluten sensitivities, but many of these people also have multiple sensitivities. I'm sure no one will mind if you pop in and ask for your specifics.

I have extreme allergic reactions to all citrus fruit, oatmeal, eggs and complete wheat. As a little one, I was once significantly allergic to cows milk. I outgrew that allergic reaction in my 20's. Yes, you'll 'outgrow' allergic reactions. I'm 50 and my meals allergic reactions began on the age of five. About eight years in the past, I ate a few BBQ sauce that I did not recognise had lemon in it. I ended up within the health center for three days! A phrase of warning: Many commerically ready meals can have constituents NOT indexed at the label. By regulation, the brands don't need to record an aspect not up to two% via quantity! Lemon was once no longer indexed at the label of BBQ sauce, however after investigating it, I learned that sure certainly it did have lemon, however an excessively small quantity..........too small to record at the label!

The homeopathic remedies listed may work but as someone with severe allergies which require epi injections, I think it's irresponsible and potentially very dangerous to give the impression that it's OK to eat foods that you have a known allergy to, it's potentially fatal.

I have these allergies also. What I have learnt is to recognize items of food that might contain these ingredients and just avoid them in the restaurant. For example, apple pie always has cinnamon and nutmeg in it , so I avoid ordering that. I ask for tea instead of coffee if I knor they do not serve lactose-free milk. I ask the waiter how things are prepared and if they contain something I am allergic to , I say "I 'm allergic to that. I am so sorry I can't eat it.
Hope this helps you out.

Ask the waiter or waitress when you see something that you want to order but are unsure of the contents and if they aren't sure advise them of your allergy and tell them to ask the cook or manager. If you don't trust what you are being told then don't eat the food. Better safe than sorry,
