When ever I drink or eat anything with dairy my throat begins to hurt almost immediately and feel like it's tightening, and my stomach starts to hurt, and it takes a bit more effort to breathe. Could this be an allergy, because I've heard that most people who are lactoce intolerant aren't really affected by cheese??

Definitly a milk protein allergy as opposed to lactose intolerance. Please don't think the 2 are the same thing. They are not! My 4 1/2 yr old is allergic to milk proteins. He can not eat or drink anything that contains even the littlest bit of dairy. Your best bet would be to go for some allergy testing. Because dairy gives you multiple reactions at once you need to carry an Epi-Pen. Your reactions can go from managable to life threatening at any time.

A sensitivity or intolerance of dairy is mostly linked to digestive issues - problems with gas, etc. The issues are usually felt long after the dairy has been consumed

If you are having troubles breathing when you eat dairy product or feel an immediate reaction to it, then that would be a sign of having an allergy. Try a skin test of milk on your forearm to see if your skin reacts as well.
