Yes, my friends son was lactose intolerant and the doctor kept telling them nothing was wrong. The child was sick and threw up everyday. I was doing daycare for my friend at the time so I was very anxious to get the problem solved. Finally I suggested that my friend try putting him on silk for a week just to try it and the problem vanished.

Yes, it does run in the family my brother-in-law and 3 of his 5 children are lactose intolerant.

yes it can run in families. certain ethnic groups are also more prone to lactose intolerant. if your son vomits after drinking milk that is a clear sign that yes there is a problem. its easy to fix just don't drink milk. its really not uncommon almost half of all adults are lactose intolerant.

It sounds like he could be, I have heard of children being lactose intolerant since birth so you may want to have him see a doctor. good luck..

I'm sure the problem pretty much explains itself.

Switch him to soy milk, perhaps chocolate soy milk.

Humans aren't suppose to drink cow's milk anyways, that's why so many people have problems with it. Try giving him soy, and he should be fine.
