My eyes always look bloodshot. I do not do drugs. I do drink on occasion, but not enough to make my eyes be so red. They burn ans sometimes itch. Any suggestions?

What about the cleaning solution for your contacts? Or the artificial tears a lot of people use before inserting their lenses? There are some solutions Mother can't use because she's terribly sensitive to petroleum.

Also, have your eyes checked: A few months ago some contact solution was recalled because it was causing eye problems. I forget if it was tainted or if there was a problem with the solution itself.

Good luck!

no.. i don't think so.. maybe what you are using are not suitable for you.. i think you may have very dry eyes.
The same thing happens to my boyfriend, and he went for a check up, and we discovered that he has very dry eyes.
always do a eye check before purchasing the contact lenses.. not all lenses the same, as they differs in shape or curves. They suits different pple. Some pple has dry eyes...so always do a check first.. dry eyes will results in uncomfortable wear, redness and sometimes the lens might drop...
Also the care of the lenses is important also.. change the solutions if it makes the eyes very dry.. remember to change the lens case every few months.. and never wear over the specific period.. if you can't take care of the lense, it will be best to wear the daily disposable type or stick to glasses...

See your eye doctor. And yes, you can be allergic to contact lenses. My grandson had to stop wearing them - same problem you are having. Switched to regular glasses and now his eyes are fine.

You are most likely not allergric to contacts but whatever solution you are using. I would suggest changing to a different solution.
