I don't know what an epi pen is. You can ask the waiter or read the food labels to find out if something has nut in it. Also make sure you carry a piece of paper or something that will inform people that you have a severe nut injury & what to do in case you have a severe reaction. Wearing something like that on your wrist or neck may help. Ask your local doctor for suggestions.

Carry two EpiPens.. one on you all the time. Perhaps in a purse, backpack.. and the other in you luggage. I'm sure you'll meet a traveling buddy and you can tell them how to administer the self injector. The instructions are on the side of the EpiPen, but to be sure in an emergency have a small copy with you. You'll be fine as long as you are diligent in your food selections.

I feel you, hopefully you'll be with somebody else on your travels - make sure to teach them how to administer the shot. Also when I traveled I was very carefull what I ate you have the right to know what's in the food you pay for and plan to eat. It would be a good idea to try to make your own food when in serious doubt....much better safe than sorry.
