My sister had acute sinusitis and after some little research i found that a decotion made of 2 tsp cinnamon powder, 1 tsp honey, 1 tsp dried ginger powder, a little green tea, paste of basil leaves and neem leaves helps. to make it boil a glass of water, add cinnamon powder first, let it boil for 2 mins then add the rest of the ingredients. drink it the firs thing in the morning and one more time before going to sleep. ofcourse seeking medical attention from a good doctor is a must but drinking this decoation really helps u prevent/ keep the sunisitis in control, i have my sister to vouch for that. In addition, u must always have a humidifier in ur room and take some steam inhalation before u go to sleep and make a point to always have stem inhalation with little euclapytus oil. i hope this helps u. if u have any questions, please feel free to ask me, i am a medical student and i keep reading research papers, if i stumble across something new i will let u know. i know how painful a sinus pain can be. Take care and get well soon,.

I have terrible sinusitis. I have had surgery twice now, and still need to take antibiotics. Have you had any allergy testing? Home remedies would be warm salt water, or peroxide up you nostrils. Besides Vicks to help you breathe if your nose is completely plugged, not much more to do. Maybe a vaporizer to help unblock the sinuses, but...A Doctor could tell you if you have nod-gels. Good luck!

If you have insurance, it would behoove you to seek medical help. I used to have very bad sinuses, and had a problem just about every day of the week. I went to my allergist and he first treated my sinuses by putting me on very strong meds for 3 weeks or so (the alternative was having surgery, which he assured me I didn't want). After that, I had allergy tests done, and I now get allergy shots, which thank God help me soooooo much.

As for the sinus problems I used to have, they're completely gone.
