I am worried something is wrong with my heart. I am always thinking my heart is just going to stop. I have severe panic attacks that strike me for no reason at all. My heart starts pounding really hard and I can feel in flutter in my chest. I had a EKG in 2003 and one this past February. The doctor did not tell me if anything was wrong with my heart. What should I do? I am so scared my heart is going to just stop on me. Serious answers please, thanks in advance

For the past 6 days I have had an unbearable sore throat, I wentto the dr wednesday for a strep test and it came back negative. My glands are swollen, this is the worst sore throat I have ever had...I am 25. I am couphing up reall gross stuff. I havent eaten in 3 days....I am drinking lots and lotsof fluids, and gargling salt water. My dr thinks I have mono and put me on zythromyacin yesterday. I woke up today still feeling horrible....whats wrong with me......should the meds kick in soon??

My best friend has a disorder called PICA. For those of you who don't know pica is an eating disorder which causes you to eat non-food items, her item of choice is toilet tissue. The thing is she is really worried that it is affecting her period. She has told me before that her period is irregular but now she says that it is crazier than normal and is staying for a month and a half to two months. She dosn't have health insurance so she hasn't been to the doctor yet. I just wanted to know if anyone could help me because I am really getting worried and I'm hoping that there is nothing seriously wrong with her insides or something. So can someone please help me out........

I had carpal tunnel surgery years ago, and I thought it was a build up of scar tissue in my wrist. It is burning and tender to touch, and swollen with a small thickened area where you would check a pulse. I'm letting my doctor know Monday. Just want to know your thoughts.

I drink between 30 and 60 12oz. American beers each week. I have, as of yet, noticed no ill effects (aside from the occasional hangover) and am personally satisfied to continue this course aside from a lingering suspition that I may be harming my health in the long term. I have read/heard many reports of liver cirrhosis being caused by alcoholc consumption but just as many of heart disease being cured by the same medicine. Has there been a study supporting the postulation that non-drinkers live longer than drinkers? What do you think?

I would like to know if there is a specific length of time someone should wait after having unprotected sex before they are tested for HIV. Is 6 or so months a good amount of time? How long can it be until the disease surfaces? Can it takes years, or would someone know they have it by then?

When I was sick a few days ago, my nose was stuffy and for some reason, I could breath perfectly through one nostril and the other was 100% blocked. I've always wondered why that kept happening. Is there a logical explanation to this?

I am 20 and I've only had a few allergies before, but all of the sudden I am having alot more allergies. It's not just one type either! It's my eyes, skin and sinuses. I also have developed some reations to food but I think they are intolerences, not allergies. I didn't use to be allergic to my dog, but now I break out in hives when I am around her! A few weeks ago my eyes started tearing up or getting puffy without apparent reason. Just a few days ago my skin started to feel uncomfortable (not quite itchy, just uncomfortable).
What could be causing this? Are the interrelated or is it just chance? What can I do for this (especially the skin problem)?

there is news about guy's in USA he fly by plane with TB and....
myquestion if this TB is sodangeres to the publics, why in 1995 when I land in canada sa refugee they was holding me in salvation army and hospital told me I have TB, was under medication and I sleep in salvation army dorm room some one most transfer TB to me ...and why no one stop me when I was working in restaurant in dishwasher? what is going on in canada Vancouver?is take one years to take two medical...to became ok.

Hi I been with out health insurance for about 5 months and my sugar is 450-600 every day in gos up and down I cant get it under 400 even with the Dieat am watching what i eat i only drink water no sugar am so weak i lost 24 pounds in all ready am runing to the bathroom every 30 mins or so I all most past out cuple of times .. I know am geting worse by the day but I tryed going to the Emergance room they turned me away i have to be dieing and i MUst call an ambulance 800.00 ride..
what can I do or were can i go for help before its too late?

my dad died in 2003 from ORAL/TONGUE/THROAT/ cancer. It also spread to his arteries. He was only 46 yrs old. I was 23 at the time. My sympathies to anyone who's in the same boat as me.

My 4 year old has an ear infection and complains about pain, and that she cannot hear my voice. She keeps saying "huh" and I have to speak louder for her to hear. Is this situation permanent ? Do ear infections cause permanent or temporary hearing loss ? Can anybody share their experiences with their toddlers in regards to hearing and ear infections.

My mother has worked hard all her life and is now suffering to the point where she cannot work. She suffers from plantar fasciitis (with the pain of past surgeries that never worked too) and now found out she needs a pacemaker in the next 2 years... or well.... yeah. She has been waiting for social security to approve her for well over a year. I'm scared to wait much longer, I am only 17 and I don't know what I can do

My husband and I are going on a trip and have to share a hotel room. We normally sleep in seperate rooms b/c of his snoring. I know I will not be able to sleep in the hotel with his LOUD snoring. I was thinking about some noice cancelling headphones or something like that so I can get some sleep that night too. I have treid earplufs and I can still hear him.

I had unprotected sex in march of 2005 and was at high risk of HIV exposure/infection. I was tested three times - ELISA only, no Western Blot - in the following three months. My last test was almost a full three months after potential exposure. I tested negative all three times.

However, I have had a number of strange symptoms over these past two years, none of which were present before my potential exposure. These include but are not limited to: peripheral neuropathy/paresthesia, occasional fasciculation and/or involuntary tremors, and various skin lesions. And this week I tested positive for Tuberculosis via a PPD (tuberculin sensitivity/Mantoux test) test.

I would like to know how likely it is that my positive PPD is a result of immunosupression from HIV infection. I cannot think of any other reason for testing positive (discarding the possibility of a false positive), and do plan on being tested for HIV as soon as possible, but I would like to hear from others first.

What type of natural remedy can be used for dealing with a large fibroid tumor? My mother has almost died because she literally bleed to death (menstrauting heavily for months). She became severly anemic with a blood volume level of a mere 3. Normal is 12. She recieved 5 blood transfusions over a 2 month span. They believe it's all been a result of the fibroid tumor in her uterus. She is trying desperatly to get their insurance company to cover it but they are jerking my parents around calling all of this pre existing and saying they wont cover a dime for any of it including the bills already. My parents are already 100,000 in medical bills. They will not cover the surgery until Nov. of this year. What can be taken naturally in the mean time to help her not have the severe pain and bleeding. Her stomach is so bloated she looks like she's 5 months pregnant. She always has pain and she always bleeds so bad. I'm worried so badly about my mom. Someone help please!!!

I have a friend who as of today was just diagnoised with breast cancer, stage 2. We are thinking of trying to get her down to Cancer Treatment Center of Zion, IL and was wondering if anyone had any good (or bad) experiences there and if they considered the treatment appropriate and helpful. We live 500 miles from there, but we want to see if we can get her up there. Just wanting some input, thanks.
