Nothing really.

If a person with AB negative blood ever needed a transfusion then they could take from anyone. They are the universal receiver. They can take blood from an A blood type, a B type, an O type, or an AB type (as long as it is negative).

Type O negative is the universal giver, or donor, because it can give to all blood types. But, O negative can only recieve O negative blood.
