If he swells at the bite site that is common to just about all of us. You can put rubbing alcohol on the bite and the swelling will go away along with the itch. If he REALLY swells up, chances are it wasn't a mosquito that bit him, but maybe a bee, or spider. You can keep Benadryl on hand, but don't over do it. Ask your sons doctor the next time you see him or make an appointment and get in to see him before summer gets going.

move to a city with mosquito control and keep your yard free of any standing water. this will reduce the mosquito population. in addition try to keep some benedryl handy.

My cousin used to be severely allergic to mosquito bites; they would make her vomit repeatedly. They took her to an allergist. She is much better now.

my son is too and when he goes outside, i spray him first with mosquitoe repellent every time he goes out ,if he does get bit then i have to give him benadryl for the swelling and redness and i think that it works really good .

Avoid getting bit is the best. Try using a topical bug spray. If he still gets bit you can try benadryl and a topical anti-itch cream
