Why can you only breath through 1 nostril perfectly and have the other blocked at times?

When I was sick a few days ago, my nose was stuffy and for some reason, I could breath perfectly through one nostril and the other was 100% blocked. I've always wondered why that kept happening. Is there a logical explanation to this?

It depends on your sinuses, and whether one side is more effected at a certain time. It's VERY common, and nothing at all to worry about. Animals have two nostrils for a reason.
