I am 20 and I've only had a few allergies before, but all of the sudden I am having alot more allergies. It's not just one type either! It's my eyes, skin and sinuses. I also have developed some reations to food but I think they are intolerences, not allergies. I didn't use to be allergic to my dog, but now I break out in hives when I am around her! A few weeks ago my eyes started tearing up or getting puffy without apparent reason. Just a few days ago my skin started to feel uncomfortable (not quite itchy, just uncomfortable).
What could be causing this? Are the interrelated or is it just chance? What can I do for this (especially the skin problem)?

This is especially important because I am starting a 5 week long job as a camp counselor tomorrow, so I will be exposed to a lot of allergens. BTW, my main problem with food is a complete intolerence to bananas.

One of the ignored causes of allergies is dehydration. When one's body dries up, histamine is produced and this causes allergies. Dehydration is usually caused by taking dehydrating beverages like coffee, tea, sodas, alcoholic beverages and chocolates. These items contain caffeine, a diuretic, one that causes a person to urinate often. So if U want to control ur allergies, avoid the aforementioned substances, and take lots of water . Take water as follows: 16 oz upon waking up in the morning, 8 oz half hr before every meal, 8 oz 2 and a half hrs after meals, 16 oz at bedtime. Best method is, when U urinate after taking the first 16 oz of water in the morning, take 8 oz everytime U urinate. Replace what's been lost. One thing tho...pls dissolve 1/4 tsp of sea salt to a quarter of water. Take this. This will hydrate ur cells and the allergy will eventually go.

It could be lymes disease. If you've been bitten by a deer tick. Or other tick born pathagen. Did you have a rash? Or not. Take the skin problem to the doctor so that they can identify before it goes away. Take a picture of it right away. Go to an infectious disease specialist if this is the case.

Take care

Get a gluten test asap. it's also called :"celiac sprue". it's a simple blood test. if you are allergic to wheat, it will cause all kinds of crap like you are explaining. about 1-3 people have an allergy to this. it's a pain in the butt, literally, but once you know and stay off it, all the other stuff will go away.
