the eye told me that in the event of a retinal bleed into the eye that they would perform a vitrectomy which involes cutting the scab away from the retina, draining blood out of the vitreous and putting laser directly onto the eye.he seemed to get very excited by this last and why did he not spell out that this involved frying the leaky new vessels while he was inside the eye and thus precluding any further bleeding
it would have encouraged me enormously to know that subject to keeping hte sugar levels under control that effectively the problem would disappear at that point

I'm finding it very difficult to go shopping for products, because this preservative is not always mentioned on the packaging and I'm fed-up with always having to call Customer Helplines. Even more so when I buy clothing! Help!

First of all please don't tell me to go to a doctor because I already have an appointment set up for next week.

I just want to get people's opinions who have dealt with or know of someone who has dealt with lymphoma.

7 months ago I noticed a non painful bump on my neck. A month later another one appeared right next to the bump that already existed.

I've been feeling sick for about a month now. I can't keep anything down, have headaches, fevers come and go, I'm tired all the time, have the chills, constant cramping in my stomach, and my bones ache. At first I just passed it off as the flu but I appear to be getting worse and no one else in the household has caught anything from me being sick.

The swelling of my lymph nodes fluctuate in size but never any smaller than a dime. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Okay, my mother has a serious skin rash. It looks like scabs all over her body. IT IS NOT SCABIES....as she has found out. She has had it for about 18 months. No one is able to tell us what it may be. It seems that at night, they seem to get less bright, but the itch is very unberable either way. As the day goes on....they become more and more red and itchy. HELP.....she thinks it may be her nerves, since no doctor had been able to have a diagnosis. Does anyone have any idea what this may be? Thanks.

Help!

I am 37, always been reasonably healthy except for a bad migraine condition

In the past 2 weeks I have suddenly begin to have the following symptoms:
Irregular heart beat, palpitations, some mild chest pain, extreme dizziness, loss of appetite, vomiting, insomnia, intense pain on the lower side of my back (almost in the hip/buttocks area, right side only)

This has continued almost continuos for about 2 weeks. However the last 48 hours I am having even worse symptoms..................the veins in my hands, wrists and feets seem to have shrunken to invisible, I have intermittent numbness and tingling in the hands, feet, face and scalp.

I thought maybe i was dehydrated and drank a huge amount of Gatorade last night which seemed to help for a bit. But now I feel about the same..not the numness, but chest pain and have added a hacking cough!

I know go to the doctor is the best answer. But I am hoping someone can give me an idea of what this might BE so I can be prepared. HELP!!

I got infected with genital warts 5 years ago (have NOT had many sex partners - only 6 - and ONCE I had a boyfriend who I had unprotected sex with - but no ejaculation occurred - anyway..), had an outbreak, had a doctor see it, treated it with liquid nitrogen, have been healthy since.
I am now seeing a male whom I am considering spending the rest of my life with, and while of course we've been safe and I have told him about the disease - is it likely that he'll get it too? Or is it possible because it's been dormant for so long and there is no "outbreak" that he will not get it? Is it possible he'll just get the virus and no outbreak? Or is it probably guaranteed, that if I marry him and we have unprotected sex, that he will get the virus and there's nothing we can do? Or is it passed most commonly only when there is an outbreak, like herpes? Speaking of which - I don't understand how someone could have herpes (dormant) and not pass it on (it's a virus too)?

I have been given steroid creams, injections, and prednisone. I found the prednisone gave me the most relief and I was able to move my fingers slightly, but the doctors refuse to let me take it for long. I have used lotions, oils...I need some relief. Any suggestions?

I was just eating some grapes and when I bit into one it sort of 'exploded' and the mushy inside slid back down my throat. For a second I couldn't breathe (I certainly didn't swallow) but then I was fine. Now I'm petrified I've inhaled it though I'm not choking (I am coughing but I wonder if that's cause I'm freaking myself out). Is there a way to tell? I feel stupid : (
