My doc told me to get rest and gave me vitamin c plus echinacea. There no cure just treatments for mono and it has to run its course, that might last for another 3 weeks...Yeah. Im not very happy with this out come and its the first week of school for me. Is there any thing else beside what my doctor told me to do to stop the prolonged effects of the sickness. just to get better faster im going to have a *** load of work when i get back and im trying to avoid that. Thank you to any one that hears me out

There is nothing you can do, and if you return to early you are putting other people's health at risk (which isn't fair) Also you need to take it easy as your spleen is in a very weaken condition and over doing it could cause it to rupture. I had mono for 2 weeks, I was lucky a girl I went to school with was out for over 6 months.

As bad as it maybe, your doctor is right, there is nothing that you can really do. Just take it easy and rest and take the vitamin c & echinacea. I've had mono before and I know how much it sucks. Just make sure you are getting lots of sleep in the next couple weeks and school won't hit you as hard. Best of Luck

Nope current treatment is rest. Your body has to heal itself.
