If the person is HIV positive and you got their blood in your mouth, there is a chance that you can become infected, too. The virus is NOT killed by air, it can live for days in the open. The only way to be sure that you haven't become infected is to have your blood checked, regularly. The virus can stay in your system for years without detection. I hope this helps.

If they do not have the virus, then, no, you will not get it; however, if they have the virus, it is known that the virus can be passed by the blood to another person if it gets in contact with an open wound or some other way for it to mix into your blood stream.
