Some people can't take a little sarcasm, can they? I'm sure the person asked this question because there are so many other questions out there that are just so off the wall, it's scary. If more people would take the time to read about something, maybe LESS people would get infected with it.

I think your question stems from a general fear and misunderstanding of HIV. Children with HIV are often denied friends and ostracized from their communities and schools. Everyone fears this serious virus, yet no one reaches out to those who need it most: the infected. So no, reading about HIV will NOT transmit the disease. But your fear will transmitt and even bigger disease: ostracism and hate. Of course it's necessary to practice precaution when dealing with blood and/or sexual fluids, but Please reconsider your fears.
