My husband and I started the South beach diet about 1 week ago. The only reason why iam doing the diet is for support .He needs to loose about 25 pounds and I have already met my desire weight lost which was only 5 pounds .Ive been cheating the diet behind his back to maintain my weight (I really dont want to become a stick person) lol . And yesterday he found my hidden stash of goodies , he joked about about it and teased me . But now he wants to ditch the diet , and start going back to his old habits. He said its not fair , how can I encourage him to stay on it ... hes lost 4 pounds already...And his serving portions are pretty big and he enjoys them , but its the sweets that are his weaknesses ?

I have tried everything... I've been dieting my whole life. I'm so unhappy with the way that I look. I've tried diet and excercise, I've tried atkinson, I've even gone to a dietician who gave me weight lose prescription pills. I'm not that overweight, just about 30 pounds... but I've GOT to get it off!!! Please help me!!! DO NOT tell me diet and excercise because that's already on the list that I've tried. Is there an over-the-counter appetite supressant? Is there a diet plan out there that actually works? Please help... I'm miserable and tired of being overweight! I'm getting married next december and I need to get into shape NOW!

I'm a fairly serious weightlifter and all I want for christmas is that veign that runs the length of my bicep to be more visible. (jk I know it will take longer than that)

Does it appear with a larger/stronger bicep or is it just a matter of your body fat % that lets these show through?

Is it a proportion of both, if so what ratio do you think it is?

I want to lose 30lbs in 5 weeks. I am a beginner at weight traning but quite fit Cardio-Wise. Plan-

Mon,Wed,Fri - Brisk Walk (90Min) & Aqua-Aerobics(45min)
Tue,Thr,Sat- Weights (45Min) and X-Trainer (30Min)

Q1 ) IS this good enough to lose 6 inches of my waist, hips, and thighs (each) in 5 weeks? Im scared to weight train as I know the scale will go up and im already 170lbs.

Q2) Should I do X-trainer after weights or Jump rope to maiximise fat loss?

Hey, I'm trying to lose a bit of weight but can't afford a gym or any fancy equipment. I only have a pair of dumbbells and a treadmill. I was hoping someone could help me make a dumbbell only workout where I encorporate a bit of running aswell. I have no bench eiher. Thanks for any responses.

I am 25 years old young, beautiful girl. BUT, I wear size 0. I am not anorexic, I am a happy, healthy, full of energy person, BUT I am slim. So what?
There is plenty of overweight people on the streets and everybody is ok with it. Look at the size of kids clothes in the shops, it is a disaster, it lokks as it is made not for a girl but for a mini prefnant women. The nation should fight with obesity not with people eating healthy. I am not on a diet, I eat whenever I want and whatever I want. But I like healthy food. I eat plenty of fruit and veg, poultry, fish...I hate KFC and chips, I hate burgers and crisps.
Why a 3 - 4 year old eating burgers in McDonalds is ok, a size 22 eighteen year old girl eating crisps and drinking coke is great, BUT a lady who is wearing size 0 is not.
Weard. Just don't get it.
