I am 25 years old young, beautiful girl. BUT, I wear size 0. I am not anorexic, I am a happy, healthy, full of energy person, BUT I am slim. So what?
There is plenty of overweight people on the streets and everybody is ok with it. Look at the size of kids clothes in the shops, it is a disaster, it lokks as it is made not for a girl but for a mini prefnant women. The nation should fight with obesity not with people eating healthy. I am not on a diet, I eat whenever I want and whatever I want. But I like healthy food. I eat plenty of fruit and veg, poultry, fish...I hate KFC and chips, I hate burgers and crisps.
Why a 3 - 4 year old eating burgers in McDonalds is ok, a size 22 eighteen year old girl eating crisps and drinking coke is great, BUT a lady who is wearing size 0 is not.
Weard. Just don't get it.

Thanks so much for your answers. It is interesting to read answers who say I am showing of and I have arrogant attitude. I have my self esteem and I know that people find me beautiful, so again some people find it to be BAD. I am sure that if I wrote I am so ugly, overweight and my self esteem is low most of the people would try to day I am beautiful, but as I do not have problem with that. Someone found that to be ARROGANT. I am not arrogant I just know who I am. I am size zero (UK size 4) girl who has no problem with her body or attitude. I love people as they are, but I do not understand the culture of hating size 0 and not making clothes for them. That is wrong. I am against anorexia and bulimia. This is as bad as obesity, but the problem is that much more people are dieing because that are overweight and only a small percentage is die because there are under weight. If you want to fight with girls like me fight, but you better help you friends who are now eating frozen pizza

I am not against you. This sounds like your natural weight. Everyone is a different weight. My natural size is around a 14. People probably are jealous of you. I don't think anyone is against a person who is naturally a size 0. I think the concern is that some people are not meant to be that size and starve themselves to become something they should not be and which is not healthy for them. There are severe health risks associated with people who are seriously underweight which can have lifelong consequences and health implications. Half the people who claim to be a certain dress size are bigger than they say, anyway. Look at all the muffin tops and bulging stomachs. I bet your clothes look fabulous and you should be proud of what you are.As for obese children, there parents should be ashamed. I saw a little girl of about two the other day who was so fat she could hardly walk and the inside of her legs were red raw where they had rubbed. To me that is neglect. If you let your dog or cat get obese, they can be taken away, yet children are allowed to suffer.

Most are only against it because most of the time when models or regular girls are that small, they don't look healthy. Ribs sticking out, and sunken in cheek bones, no muscle tone, is not any better than a size 22 in terms of health.
True, some women are just built that way, but really, MOST aren't, and do struggle to stay that small, either by not eating right or exersizing too much.
The attitude of some women this small doesn't help. Take yours, for instance. You seem to be mad at over-weight people, and give the impression that you don't approve, but that it is OK to be under-weight, and that everyone should strive to be like you. I for one would look horrible as a size 0! My over all body frame is too large. You seem to imply that anyone who is overweight can control their circumstances..."the nation should fight with obesity" This is a personal fight that many struggle with every day, and you have no right to group all obese people into one group of skinny- haters who need to be forced to lose weight.
I don't think people are hating on you because of your actual size, but rather because of you attitue toward your size and your horrible attitudes towards people that are heavier than you. You sound very self-rightious and quick to assume you are in the right on this one, when in fact there are many other opinions out there that differ from yours.
BTW, Obese people are not the only ones who disagree with your rant and opinions, and are not the only ones who are responding to your question in their defense. I am a size 3, but I have been a size 12, and have also been smaller than I am right now. The difference between you and me is that I do not look at people and judge them based on their pant size, so they tend to not do the same to me. They see me as a person, not a self-absorbed size 0.
I think you need to re-evaluate your own attitude and figure out why you feel the need to bash others. The issues are yours, not theirs.

Some people are just naturally skinny because they have a high metabolism and in that case being a size 0 (UK size 4) is fine.
I think the problem is that a lot of people aren't naturally skinny and as it is so desirable to be slim, some people may try to slim down by not eating and over exercising which is very dangerous and can lead to anorexia.
In my opinion being anorexic and not eating properly is just as bad, if not worse than being obese. It takes a lot longer for an obese person to die than an anorexic person

I personally think size 0 is gross.
A woman is supposed to be curvy, not stick-like.
I am a size 10, so I am not over weight, but I would like to be a size 8. A size 8 is the slimmest I would go.
I agree, there is a lot of overweight children, however this isn't just because of McDonald's. The parents buy them the McDonald's, the games consoles, the sugary unhealthy snacks.
Size zero is NOT healthy. No matter what you may think, statistics prove it is very unhealthy.
A 22 year old model died because she was living on nothing but fruit and veg. She never ate anything unhealthy, like you don't.
Make sure you get the right amount of everything including fat.

The problem lies in that on the whole size zero is unhealthy, unnatural and it's a terrible goal for young girls of today to aspire to.
Yes, there are exceptions (maybe you genuinely are this size) but there are very, very few who are this thin while eating a normal healthy balanced diet.
Size Zero girls (less the exceptions) do look ill, they look gaunt, almost skeletal and can be just as bad for their health as being obese.
You need to realise that for 99.9% of the population being size zero is a seriously bad thing.
You are exactly the person who should be convincing these young, impressionable girls that they should be aiming to be healthy and fit rather than for a particular size.
You really should think seriously about how you portray your self, your size, what you tell them, size zero may be ok for you but for a huge number of girls it could end up being a death sentance.

I don't think people are against those who are naturally slim, what people have a problem with is living in a society that implies that you need to be slim to be happy.
Society as a whole tends to look down on overweight people and there is a perception that you have to be slim to get anywhere in the world. Just look at any magazine or newspaper and they will have at least one story about weight or offering the next best diet tips. Stars putting on a few pounds make front page headlines for goodness sake.
It is not thin people that people are against its a culture that demands extreme skinniness and then criticises it when it happens.

I think you've got your facts muddled up. Size 22 isn't OK, just as being underweight is. Both are detrimental to your health.
Have you measured your BMI? If you're small and petite anyway, then no problem. The problem is is when models who are 5'8" and above are so thin you can see their ribs, and they've intentionally done it.
Since the early 90s and the arrival of 'heroin chic', overly skinny models have been lauded as the 'big thing', the image that women supposedly have to live up to. (and that's not to say that there haven't been skinny models in the past - because there have - it's just not been made such a big deal of).
If you go back in time a couple of hundred years and look at some of the art from the time, you'll see loads of curvy women. Why were they painted? Because they were the epitome of beauty at the time. Compare these to the skinny waifs in pre-raphaelite works and you'll see it's the swings and roundabouts of fashion.
Personally, I quite like skinny women, but their bodies are a lot more masculine than a curvy woman. Hips and t*ts are what scream femininity to me, and suggest a certain fertileness.
If you're small but you eat healthily, then what the hell is your problem? You have nothing to worry about!

Because it's become an obsession for some girls who are not naturally that size to starve themselves skinny.
To be a UK size 4 you need a 30.5 inch bust, 23-23.5 inch waist and 32-33 inch hips....in fact it is smaller than a US size 0 which is a 31.5 inch bust, 23.5-24 inch waist and 34 inch hips.
Obviously this is your natural size and I'm not bashing you, but you have to admit it's not healthy when girls that are naturally a size 10 are starving themselves to be a size 4.

Where are you in the world? A size 0 in the US would be different to a UK size 0.
If you are fit and healthy then why would there be a problem however my concern is that in one of the clothes shops where I live have abandoned the sizing for teenage girls. Before it used to say 12-13yrs or 13-14yrs etc now those sizing's have been replaced with size 4 or size 6 etc. My concern is that if our 12 yr olds lets say are a size 4 (which I think is the US 0) then as they grow into a size 6 then they will panic about putting on weight when in fact they are just naturally growing. The size 4 and 6's are in the ladies section and not the child section.

I am a male, and i am not attracted to beached whales, but the size 0 is not attractive either. I would say most men are not attracted to women who have the body of a 10 year old boy, ( unless you are michael jackson) ;-p
