Last time I went to the dentist, they found 2 cavities. He cleaned them and told me that I could come back anytime to get them filled. Problem is, we've been having some problems with money so I haven't been able to come back til now(couple months after). I feel no pain, can't see the cavity, and have been taking pretty good care of my teeth. Is there still a possibility that because of how long I've had to wait, my teeth will be in really bad condition and require further treatment?

Anyone given tetracycline as an infant and have tooth damage. D.R. prescibed it to me when i was about 9mths... I have had 6 major dental procedures and all my teeth have had to be capped... because I have little or no enamel on my teeth... also alot of my teeth were disfigured and had to be reshaped and built up to look normal..... Just wondering how common this is and if others have had similar problems ..

Is Paris Hilton out of jail? Has it been 45 days already? I mean is she out as of today June 27th? I know she got released and went back in... I don't really care, I just haven't heard about it, and I figured it would have been as big of news as when she went in... It was all over the place!

I want to make sure they are done absolutely right this time. It is getting awfully expensive and time consuming. What can I do or say to the dentist to make sure they are done right? Also he is going to make me temporaries to wear for a week and then I am supposed to tell him what I want different about them before he has the lab make the real ones. Is this the normal procedure?

Two weeks ago I literally fell flat on my face and my open mouth hit the pavement. Shockingly, even though it really really hurt, the front tooth that I hit didn't chip or break.

Today, I was biting my nails when a large chunk of that same tooth broke off into my hand. I'm going to the dentist tommorow.

What are they going to do to fix it?

Okay... I'm in middle school and most people my age at my old school that were gonna get braces had already had them, but not me. I have to loose my molars, but I'm not sure I will, because my brother, who has had his braces, retainer, and his wisdom teeth pulled has never lost a molar. I want to only get braces on my front teeth, cause I think that even if I do loose my molars that my front teeth will only need to have braces. How do I convince my parents?

Also, my friend had braces, and our school colors are green and yellow, she got them, and they look horrible, but I will go to a dif. ortha than her, so is it worth getting yellow and green?

It's been 8 days since 2 extractions... I went to the dentist after 4 days, he told me it was healing ok. The pain is always there and is no better. There is a hole in this extraction site, with something white or brownish in the bottom of it. I called the dentist back and he just tells me this is normal. Is it? I am also diabetic (insulin dependent). What can I do? The dentist won't see me. The pain is awful...HELP PLEASE

A few days ago I was fidgeting with a hair clip fairly close to my mouth, and the hair clip snapped and my gum hit the bottom of the hair clip. The gum is under my bottom front teeth, at the front. There was no bleeding from what I can remember, and I didn't actually notice any cut until two days later.
My mom is a clinical specialist and gave me a dental paste (Triamcinolone Acetonide) that I apply twice to three times a day, and I wash my mouth with a solution called CloSys II. I can tell it's getting better but at the same time I feel that it's getting a little bigger. There's an offwhite surrounding color of the cut. When I talk or eat and my mouth is in a wide-opened position in which my bottom lip is doing the work, it hurts. I have a position as a Master of Ceremony at a celebration my sister is holding in about two weeks. Any solutions?

Tonight I was chewing and a part of my tooth (one nearer the back at the top) chipped away. When I looked at it under a light in a mirror I noticed that the area in which the same piece broke away is black/brown! I am not currently (touch wood!!!) not in any pain but are wondering what would happen if I were to leave it or if I went to a dentist i.e. would he be able to fill it. I floss quite alot (to much acctually) and I do tend to go quite hard when flossing. Would this have any effect on this? I also drink alot of Coca-cola/Pepsi.

Hi, I just turned 19 four months ago and have never had a job, but plan on getting one this summer to help pay for college books etc. That being said, I have two cavities on the upper part on each side of my jaw. One of them hurts alot when I try to go to sleep at night. Now I can only eat on one side of my mouth, but I don't want the cavity that doesn't hurt to get worse. I haven't been to the dentist in about 10 years and don't have dental insurance any more. Since I don't have a job I don't think I could get insurance. Even if I just got a job, i'd propably have to wait for insurance. I would like to get my tooth fixed as soon as possible so it doesn't get worse. I still live with my father and rarely ask him for any money because i'm 19 and would feel embarrased too, but am willing to ask for some money for my teeth. I would like to save as much money as possible to get the one painful tooth fixed, and pay my father back as soon as i get a job. Should I get a dental plan? What are my other options to save on money when going to the dentest.

Also I would like to know some good tooth pain medicine to help me sleep at at night, and does Dent's toothache gum (that old time red gum you fill a cavity with) work?

Thank you for taking time to read this. I know it's a lot, but is greatly appreciated. I really don't know what to do.

I've read where you can cause serious damage when biting a numb lip, but I can't find anything that tells what the damage is. Is severe swelling normal when biting a numb lip?

i hate this dentist! so that the whole world will know the scam that they impose on patients - always saying they can't contact the insurance company so you're forced to pay in full, then when you claim for insurance refund they make you wait forever? and sometimes you never get your money back?
