I was just wondering if that happens. Cause the braces are on your teeth and when you brush them wouldnt only part of your teeth get white and the part the braces are on top of stay yellow.

I had a dentist appointment yesterday and I'm getting braces soon. I asked my dentist if I had to get spacers and she said no because they don't use the kind of braces that use brackets. She said they use the kind that are cemented to the teeth. So what kind do they use?

I noticed on previous questions most people are saying do not pull a child's tooth, let it come out on it's on. But my son's first tooth is loose and I can see the other tooth in the back. I'm no dentist, but it looks as if it wants to come out behind the baby tooth. In your opinion, I know the decision would be up to me, but how long should I wait before trying to pull it or taking him to the dentist?

I have made the mistake of eating lemons, and some of the enamel on my teeth has been dissolved.
Is there a way to restore enamel, like a special toothpaste or something?

I had my 2 front teeth knocked out over 15years ago and the crowns fitted at the time are now looking and feeling less like I would like them too. So I am now of an age where I feel brave enough to go get some new ones put in and I am going to the dentist next week to discuss what size shape and colour I would like, but how will I know what is best for me this is my greatest fear that I choose the wrong type, how can I visualize what would suit me best. At the moment they are slightly yellow and they are what I would say are short and dumpy teeth. I also have a couple of mm gap between them but don't want to widen them further as they are already quite wide. Is there a website I could go on and pay and try different types out like you can with a hair style? Any help with this would be received with great thanks.

I had all four wisdom teeth extracted a week ago. I have since had terrible pain, foul breath, and many sleepless nights. I'm pretty sure I have dry socket and I'm going to see the surgeon today for a checkup and to remove my stitches. Please, please, PLEASE tell me that they will be able to make this pain stop! I've read several methods in treating dry socket. Which one will they likely choose?

my front teeth are stained and chipped at the bottom, which would be best for that, crowns or veneers? I live in the NYC area, any thoughts on prices here? I was hoping to get 4-6 teeth done plus all my old silver fillings replaced with white resin ones and I'm saving $10k for this. I'm a little nervous because of the cost of doing this, so any suggestions you can give me to ensure I get the most for my money will be appreciated.

I had a root canal in November to my front upper tooth - the pain after was much worse than the pain before the procedure. Endodontist decided he needed to REDO the root canal after two months of antibiotics.
It has now been 4 weeks since the procedure, my tooth still throbs and I can't bite into things. Regular dentist and endo are talking about surgery to "save" the tooth, but they can't tell me what's wrong with it or why it still hurts. I've never heard of such a fiasco over a tooth - have you? And everyone keeps telling me that after a root canal there should be no sensation in the tooth, so why is there pain?? I'm not a pansy about pain, but this is getting to be a joke . . .
