I had a palette separator at 11 years old because my mouth was too small for all of my teeth. Then they pulled 4 teeth and I got braces. I had them on for 3 years. At 19 my wisdom teeth started coming in and my teeth shifted and now my alignment is all off. It has caused tmj and also I am constantly biting my cheeks and tongue. They recommend braces. I have a terrible receding gum line am worried about getting them now. Anyone have the same problem? Anyone over 30 have them? Thanks!

My orthodontist won't take off my braces until I pay the money I owe, which is alot, due to my financial conditions. I wouldn't pay them anyways, because their REALLY rude and last time he didn't even use a glove, all he did was wash his hand. Anyways, so how do I take it off myself?

So I had a wisdom tooth removed today, straightforward and easy. As I took the gauze packing out (after 1/2 hour), the clot came out with it. Will it re-clot if I leave it alone or is this a pre-cursor now to dry socket?

I have 2 questions: Do I have to get my wisdom teeth taken out if I want to have braces?
Also, can I choose to have 2 taken out at one session, and 2 the next instead of all at the same time? It seems to me like it would be less painful that way.

It's a lazer tooth whitening process which takes an hour and done by some dentists at the cost of about £500, just wonder whether it's as effective as the before and after pictures on some websites show? Any comments would be useful.

I had a root canal done 3 weeks ago and just got my crown last week. I had zero pain during the two weeks after my root canal, but after I got my crown in I've been getting that same throbbing pain that I had after eating sweets before I got my root canal procedure. Is this normal??

I live in Hoboken, NJ. I am looking for basic coverage for me (26) and my husband (44), as well as my father-in-law (67). We need just basic coverage for us and additional services for my father-in-law. We're not really concerned about the out of pocket costs, and would prefer something that offers the easiest plan to use plus access to the most dentists.

Which would you recommend and why?

Do you always get swollen cheeks and why does that happen?
Is it better getting them pulled sedated or just getting the area numb and then getting them pulled.

I kind of want ceramic because I don't want them to be noticeable. However, the denist's assistant said that I should get metal because they're easier to clean. I can't decide!

I was told there was some extra gum tissue that needed to be removed while I was in the dentist chair. (I was told it was possibly from having my wisdom teeth removed years ago). I said ok and it was removed. It took about 15 minutes and no scalpels were used. Then when I went to pay I was charged almost $500 for crown lenghtening. I have researched this procedure and I do not believe that is what was done. No scalpel was used, no sutures in my mouth, no prescription mouthwash or any prescriptions given. Actually the follow up care suggested was to brush it until it bleeds to make the area stronger. I did this once but the more I think about it seems like an awful idea, it would just push bacteria into the wound. Also, the healing times I have read for crown lengthening are like 3 months. I made an appointment to have the crown placed in 2 weeks.

Is this procedure some other form of crown lengthening that I can't find anything about, or some other procedure? How much should it cost
