I have 2 questions: Do I have to get my wisdom teeth taken out if I want to have braces?
Also, can I choose to have 2 taken out at one session, and 2 the next instead of all at the same time? It seems to me like it would be less painful that way.

I would recommend them all out at the same time since they do hurt for a few days and why be under the weather for 6 days instead of only three? But you CAN get them done at different times, and pay a lot more as well.
And yes, most orthodontists I know make you get your wisdom teeth removed.

You should get your wisdom teeth removed. They serve no purpose and will end up causing you problems. You can get 2 pulled at a time. I don't see why not. Talk to your dentist about it. He/she will do whatever you want to make you happy, I'm sure.

YOU WILL HAVE DOUBLE THE PAIN -- BUT IT'S YOUR TEETH AND YOU'RE THE BOSS.
I'D DO THEM ALL IN 1 APPOINTMENT. WHY DEAL WITH A SECOND HASTLE?
