brace ..anyone have one in their late teens?

My niece who is 17 was in an accident recently and knocked her teeth out of allignment.She was told by her dentist that she will have to wear a brace for at least 2 years.she is very upset as she was hoping to find a boyfriend.Are they anyone with the same age who have a brace and their in a relationship and have no problems.please help thx

Im 16, iv had braces for abwt 6 mnths now! At first i felt reely down abwt myself bt thn i realised thy dont reely make a difference! Its only something on ur teeth, tell ur neice to think of them as something thats makes her stand out from the crowd and get noticed!!
I now have a gorgeous boyfriend of 4 mnths and he doesnt care abwt them! Dont get me wrong i get them off in 2 months and i cant wait!
But my braces actually boosted my self confidence because th longer u have them on the more straight ur teeth become and ur smile is beautiful, its well worth it in the end up!! Wots 2 years of your life, if ur gonna have a perfect smile in the end up!!
Tell ur neice nt 2 worry im sure shes a beautiful girl anyway. braces or no braces!!

In the eighties it was common to put braces on by 10 yrs old, not now! I've seen people in their twenties and thirties with braces on and it's now widely accepted. She is lucky that she has the chance to put her teeth back to her usual position.

this is just life. she will learn it sooner or later. so what, 2 years! braces not aren't like they used to be. either dish out thousands for surgery or shut the f up
