One of my friends is having them taken out and she acts like its the end of the world. She says she won't be able to hang out with us for days and she'll only be able to eat JELLO and pudding. Is she being a drama queen or is it really that bad?

Yeah, I had all four of mine removed at the same time. I was knocked out, so I didn't feel any pain. The doctor said it was normal to wake up with my pants down. The only part that sucks is the dry socket feeling when the healing begins. You will lick and lick where the holes are trying to wet them and it doesn't help. Awkward feeling, but that's about the worst thing. I had a prescription for 800mg tablets of ibuprofen and never used them. You should be able to eat soon, there's really nothing to worry about. Your fears are worse than what will actually happen.

My daughter had all 4 of her wisdom teeth pulled at the same time. She was knocked out when they were pulled.. She was pretty uncomfortable, but was given good pain killers and washed her mouth out frequently with warm salt water. She did have to watch what she ate, nothing really hard or chewy. She did eat a lot of soup, jello and pudding. My daughter is no drama queen and is not a whiner or complainer.

Getting your wisdom teeth is pretty painful. It really depends on how her wisdom teeth are coming out. If they are impacted, which is growing out strangely and pushing her other teeth or if its in too deep. Sometimes the dentist has to cut her gums and surgically pull the tooth out. It is really painful after your numbing shots go away. A lot of times that area gets really swollen so they have chipmunk cheeks for a few days to a week. It really affects your eating because you chew with your back teeth and if your teeth is pulled and its swollen and sensitive back there then you really cant eat solid foods.

Depends on how it is done. I had 3 removed with just Novocaine and I was a bit sore but by day 2 was fine to do whatever. I Had one removed via oral surgery and slept the rest of the day and was sore the next 2 days, but did pretty much whatever. You have a drama queen on your hands!

Well, I got mine cut out and was out for a few hours due to the pain medicine. But, my mouth was just kind of sore. I actually think getting my tounge pierced (back in the day) was worse. Though i had someone comment about how good i seemed when they've seen grown men act like they were in so much pain. Guess it depends on how much pain they can take. Mine were cut out not pulled.

She's being a drama queen, for sure she's gonna be sore for a day or two,,but to kill herself over that no..lol just kidding,,she's playing it up,,it'll be frozen so she won't feel nothing till the freezing comes out,,then sleep it off for a few days then she's bacvk in buisness,,if she smokes don't let her smoke as will definately cause dry socket,,,and that my friend will be the end,,as that's painfull,,good luck and let her moan alone

I had mine taken out. The first day was rough.. some bleeding and cotton in my mouth. I could only drink soup. She may be in the bed or laying around on painkillers for about 2 or 3 days.

Whatever she does, she can't drink through a straw or smoke. This will leave 'dry sockets' where her teeth were cut out in the back. She will have to go back and get them cleaned out, which really really hurts!!!

Drama Queen!! It is NOT that bad. The worst part is the bleeding right afterwards, and the numb feeling. I went out drinking the day after!

Um it hurt like hell for me-the Dr. wanted me to come in early so he could go to a basketball game but I couldn't because I had no ride to take me home at that time so I came in at my regularly scheduled time. It took him a grand total of 10 minutes to yank all 4 of them out of my head and I had to have my husband carry me out to the car. That night while I was trying to sleep my throat closed almost completely shut. I was really fighting for air and had to be taken to the ER. After I healed up and got the bill I wrote the check and sent it to him. His name was Dr. Geidt and when I wrote his name on the check I wrote Dr. Geek! What an asshole he was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I was a ***** back then like I am now he would never have gotten away with it!!!!!!!!
