My beautiful 4 year old daughter has multiple cavaties, her dentist says its going to cost about 3500 and insurance will only cover about 1000 of it. She never complains about her teeth hurting and other than her teeth she is perfectly healthy. her teeth came in rotten and she was breastfed till age 2, i have been told by dentist i have weak teeth. Any suggestions?

Hi folks,

My extraction was of my first molar #19...I can see pretty much everything in there.

How long should I be able to see the dark colored clot? Until the gums close up?

I hope I can explain this as easy to understand as possible.

In 2004 while living in Oil City, I had a tooth (molar) that had a cavity. So I got it filled and I thought I wouldn't have to worry about it again. Wrong...a couple months later, the filling fell out. My orthodontist pointed this out, so I went back to my regular dentist to have it repaired. One night when I was able to go to sleep, I had the WORST TOOTHACHE IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS AWFUL!!!!!! I had to take a lot of pain medicines for it all night and into the next day because it hurt so bad. Then, on another visit to the orthodontist about 2 days later, he notices the filling is missing again!!!! So, since now I'm living in another town (Erie/North East), and I have a new dentist and I go to her to get the tooth filled a 3rd freaking time!!! That was in December of 2005. So, I actually thought that I could just get it filled and not have to worry about it! I'm wrong again. In

I'm stil not sure if this is just some joke that got out of hand, or if it's true, but I've heard it many times, and not just off of The Whole Nine Yards. My question is, is this true, and if so, why? I can understand if dentistry students have a high suicide rate, but why a dentist? They make great money, their job seems interesting, and chalanging at times, plus they have great hours, and don't have to deal with people dying right in front of them like medical doctors do. Does anyone know the deal about dentists being suicidal?

I'm not talking about my own, I'm talking about a full set of human teeth I have. I believe they were ripped out of some dead guys mouth, but not recently, because there are bits and peices of rotten gingiva on the tooth.

This is not a joke question, I'm a student in the Philippines, and these people are screwed up, and require me to have a full set of human teeth in my Dental Orientation class, in Pre-Dentistry. Anyway if anyone knows what I can do to make these teeth really clean, white and shiny looking tell me, and don't forget it doesn't matter how sensitive it would make the teeth, because buddy is already dead, and 6 feet deep.

I am 7 mos pregnant & am a student working full-time struggling to make it from paycheck to paycheck...I have a mouthful of dental issues & nearly no $$$. I can't hardly smile without pain let alone eat & have headaches all the time but no dentist wants to help & every "low-income" dentist i've been to has left me hurting worse! I looked into pro-bono dentists but no luck. I want to be able to smile again without pain at the wonderful things God has blessed my life with such as my 18 month old baby boy Logan...does anyone know where I can get help??? I don't have the thousands of dollars to fix all the problems in my mouth....

My boyfriend has dental pain stemming from the nerves in his gums. We have tried anbesol, clove oil, salt water rinse, we took him to the dentist and got antibiotics and pain medication, dentist says he needs a root canal but we cannot afford a root canal and we don't have dental insurance. Does anyone know anything else that will hold the pain off (that we can buy over the counter) till we can get the money for his dental work?

Well , I was wondering how I would be able to carefully rise the gumline of my teeth ? I try brushing hard around the gum area , and noticed only little results . Am I doing it the right way ? I feel a bit self concious when I smile , because my gums show so much when I smile ! I want to have the perfect smile when I get my braces off ! :] Thanks in advance to any help .

I have a tooth abscess on my right side that I need to get taken care of. However I noticed a swollen lymph node on my left side under my chin that feels tender, is there a possibilty that this abscess is causing a lymph node to swell on the opposite side? Or should I be looking for something else?
