Curious... when you get your wisdoms pulled, are you sedated or asleep? There is a difference right? Can you just be sedated or do you have to be "asleep". And, when you do go to sleep, or when you are sedated are there any feelings of anxiety or fear in those moments?

I more than likely need my wisdoms pulled. Lately my jaw has been hurting and popping a little so it may be closer than I would like. I am so anxious about this procedure I cannot drive to town to an oral surgeon. I have anxiety as it is. My top wisoms are all the way out and streight, my bottoms are partially out and seem to be streight (although I can't see the entire tooth as some is still under the gum). I am curious if they can be pulled by my dentist. If they are out of the gum or partially out of the gum, can my dentist pull them? She is here in my town and there are no oral surgeons in my town so if she cannot, I don't know when I'll be brave enough to do it. I'm terrified of having any teeth pulled as it is. I know she pulls teeth but I don't know about wisdoms. Basic question is, can a dentist pull wisdoms?

My wisdom tooth kinda hurt these day, not that hurt but a little bit annoying. Half of it covered by gum, so it didn't growed well. I don't have guts to pull it off, coz i'm afraid of hurts n blood. my dentist said it's not that serious, so i don't have to pull it off. what should i do then?

I have been to my dentist today and have been advised to use
pola night teeth whitening to whiten my teeth
as this treatment is very, very effective, they
told me pola night would make me look like
a model, however...

Does anyone know how I can whiten my teeth without
using this dental bleach as I am on income support and
can not afford this treatment from them as they
told me to buy this pola night teeth whitening
will set me back £290, I would love to try this
polanight teeth whitening product but can not afford it
from my dentist.

Does anyone have an answer: How I can whiten
my teeth at home without paying out any money ??

Please help me, as I need some teeth whitening
as I have very bad teeth stains as I have been
eating too many take aways, ( curry and piza most nights etc..),
plus my 60 aday cigs and my 5 bottles of red wine wine that I get from m&s.
does make my teeth look rather yellow.

Please do offer me some advice on how
my teeth can look white again without buying these
products as I am on very low income support, not to mention that I have
6 children to feed etc and this does not come cheap !

Its about time they did MY teeth whitening FREE on the NHS !

Thanks from Kelly

P.S - I cant wait to hear from you all, with your tips, advice and answers

well ive always had sensitive teeth, but never TOO bad to cause me any real problems.

anyway ive always used colgate whitening, but changed my toothpaste to this new aquafresh stuff (it actually seems better stuff) but ive noticed since ive changed my teeth are SOOOO sensitive at the back.

when i swill my mouth with mouthwash the pain is really bad (or drink something hot or cold) anyway could it be the changeover of toothpaste that is not agreeing with my teeth?

I recently had a root canal on the last molar on left lower side. The tooth had cracked but the endontist was trying to save it. My appointment for a crown is one week away and yesterday I bit into -can you believe this- a piece of watermelon and that tooth broke. It's not broken off, it's just split. It feels like if I push it enough with my tongue, the back of it will completely break off. Will see the dentist Monday morning but what are going to be my options with this? I'm not sure due to the location if it can even be "rebuilt." At least I'm not in agonizing pain since the root canal was already done, but it is uncomfortable and sore. Thanks.

My teeth are already painfully sensitive after only two applications. Is there anything I can do to make it feel better, other than stopping?

Anyone get these? I noticed a big spot on my front tooth. My mom and uncle have the same thing. I was brought up on flurodated water. My teeth are very strong and healthy, so I doubt it is a deficiency. However, I do not get enough calcium but is this really a sign? I get them on my finger nails too..is this related?
