I have been to my dentist today and have been advised to use
pola night teeth whitening to whiten my teeth
as this treatment is very, very effective, they
told me pola night would make me look like
a model, however...
Does anyone know how I can whiten my teeth without
using this dental bleach as I am on income support and
can not afford this treatment from them as they
told me to buy this pola night teeth whitening
will set me back £290, I would love to try this
polanight teeth whitening product but can not afford it
from my dentist.
Does anyone have an answer: How I can whiten
my teeth at home without paying out any money ??
Please help me, as I need some teeth whitening
as I have very bad teeth stains as I have been
eating too many take aways, ( curry and piza most nights etc..),
plus my 60 aday cigs and my 5 bottles of red wine wine that I get from m&s.
does make my teeth look rather yellow.
Please do offer me some advice on how
my teeth can look white again without buying these
products as I am on very low income support, not to mention that I have
6 children to feed etc and this does not come cheap !
Its about time they did MY teeth whitening FREE on the NHS !

Thank you for giving me some practical tips and advice, it is terrible that the nhs will not get my teeth white, does anyone know if I could seek legal action against my dentist for not doing it for free, I am thinking about getting legal aid, this way I can show that this dentist should help more people out who are on low incomes like me !
It is terrible to live over here in the UK and the dentist will not whiten my teeth, people dont understand about my yellow teeth.
Has anyone tried this Ajax stuff and the wire brush yet ? people are saying this should not be tried, can anyone explain why I should not use Ajax ?? What is Ajax ??

first off if you dont give up the cigs, and alcohol then you will always be re-whitening your teeth! second giving up on those 2 bad habits will also help you and your children live a lot better. as for actual whitening......i agree with the first answer. i personally used and still use from time to time crest whitestrips...they take 7 days per top and 7 more per bottom to whiten. my teeth are near blinding white against my tan body, i couldnt be happier! the product is quite cheap and very simple to use. another option you have is taking peroxide and baking soda and putting them together and making a paste and placing it on your top or bottom row. not both at the same time! applying to both front and back of your teeth and leaving it on for about 30-45 minutes for quick results within about 1-1/2 weeks, best done at night. Or 10-20 minutes for 2-4 weeks improvement....just really depends on how much you can tolerate the paste in your mouth. To remove it simply brush your teeth with water and a whitening toothpaste of some kind. i rec'd colgate whitening, or aquafresh whitening with floruide. all very cheap and all house hold items. make sure you stay away from caffeine, coffee, smoking, drinking, and always brush your teeth about 1 hour after this procedure. Good Luck and i hope that you have a beautiful white smile in no time.
Oh and just a quick tip....smoking causes cancer, drinking causes liver disease-think about your 6 children!

No dentist that I know of in the UK would recommend such a product for teeth whitening. Either you are a foreigner posting on UK and Ireland aswers or you are not telling the truth.
UK dentists will offer you two types of whitening - neither of which is self-administered.
The NHS is obliged to make sure your mouth is healthy - not that you look good.
If you want to look good then here is the harsh truth:
Don't smoke
don't drink red wine
limit tea and coffee
brush with a whitening toothpaste at least twice a day
floss twice a day
use a fluoride mouthwash

if your on low income support you shouldnt be having cigarettes and wine and pizza. give up that stuff and you might have the money for whitening your teeth. tooth wightening is a cosmetic thing...it doesnt benefit you in anyway.
How could you take legal action against your dentist? Tooth whitening isnt a necessary procedure and it isnt paid for in most places. Here in Canada was pay for our own unless you have insurance to cover it. Yellow teeth doesnt harm you. It just doesnt look nice so no dentist will pay for your teeth whitening so you can feel better. I get really tired of people trying to get everything for free these days. Do what I do and work for the things you want. If you cant afford them then too bad.

Ajax is a household scouring powder and poisonous! There is a great whitening product for about £5 available at supermarkets or chemist called bright white. The inside of a lemon skin is also a very effective tooth whitener.
Have you considered spending your income support on something other than 60 fags or takeaways and wine?? Like maybe a tooth whitening treatment.

Go get a job then you'll be able to afford it!! Give up the fags, booze and takeaways otherwise even if you do eventually find the money to afford the whitening stuff it won't work if you carry on with your extremely bad habits!
Your question sounds like you are taking the piss because if you are on benefits a dentist wouldn't be inconsiderate enough to suggest you have treatment for something that you can not afford!!

Stay away from the professional teeth whitening procedures and from the whitening at home kits. They are using extremely toxic chemicals that can cause IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO TOOTH ENAMEL and premature tooth decay.

well for a start you may want to give up all the cigs and wine and start looking after yourself, if you can afford all those stop now then youll have the money for the treatment your dentist recommends,
on income support yet can afford 60 fags a day, what a joke, why dont u get a job and get some pride. People like me are paying for you to drink your self stupid and smoke yourself to death. Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could use baking soda if your on income support as this may help get your teeth cleaner ?.
I feel very sad for you having 6 kids on a low budget and not been able to afford this treatment, you should tell your dentist that you are in urgent need of this treatment as you feel very very depressed, You might get a discount on this pola night teeth whitening stuff ? who knows ?? he may do it for FREE !
I too have children and I know what its like to be a mum and you do deserve a nice white smile after looking after 6 kids, I feel very sorry for you on such a low income, You should also ask for more money in benefits as it seems that you must not be getting enough, try asking your local benefits office again and tell them that this treatment should be available to you on the nhs as you have 6 kids to feed plus yourself.. I hope you get this sorted out, in the meantime try some baking soda this should only cost you about 35p. ( or you could ask your local doctor for some free soda?? its worth at try.........)

The least expensive way to naturally whiten your teeth is baking soda. Of course it's not yummy, but it works. Just keep a small box in your bathroom, and dip your wet toothbrush in some baking soda and brush with it twice a day. Don't substitute for toothpaste. You'll notice a difference, even though it won't be as drastic and fast as expensive treatments. Let me know how it works for you! My sister showed me!

Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and
are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural
tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries
but certain precautions have to be taken.
