I don't like coffee or soda, and not a big fan of caffeine products. I would like to know what are some good alternatives to use that help me stay alert and energized during the day.

how long should i aim to do cardio each day? i'm 20 years old and in pretty good shape..i normally walk anywhere between 35 and 50 minutes every day. it just seems like it isn't doing much for me anymore. i'm not losing weight, and i think the only reason i sweat is because it is hot outside.

should i incorporate running into my workout? like a run 2 min walk 2 min set for 20 minutes (about all i think i could handle) and then do my usual fast paced walking for 25-30 minutes??

any suggestions on a good workout routine that isn't too strenuous, but will give me the results i'm looking for??

I live in the North and it gets chilly. Also, it's dark by 5 p.m. But I think this would help me with staying fitter, not to mention happier, in the winter months. Does anyone else take walks at night even in the brisk temps?

Hi,

My g/f has recently become sick (mental illness) due to being messed around by an employer. Promised a quick promotion that didnt happen. She found fraud in their books & was sacked unfairly on the spot. She has since become ill because of this & had a breakdown. The issue is that she is now out of work and I (her partner) have put in claims for incapacity & housing benefit on her behalf. I am not working & I am looking after her on home treatment after being in hospital for 5weeks. Incapacity and Housing benefit have not paid out for the past 6 weeks because they are waiting for SSP1 from the ex employer? They have been contacted but dont seem to be bothered to sort it out? They are also withholding her p45 and wageslips. We have contacted them but it appears futile. If this continues we will both be homeless because of these people. I am tempted to go down to them and kick off because ive had enough! Can anyone advise on the best way forward. we are in the UK. Cheers.

First of all I have acid reflux and right now I have air or something in my tummy. I'm been burping (that is the only way I can describe it but it isn't a full burp) for the last 5 hours every 30 seconds.

I remembered a natural cure for acid reflux being to drink apple cider vigiger. That instant took the effect of the way my stomache felt and increased it to 10x worse and It made it so bad I almost throw up. What works to make this go away, forever. I'd really like to cure it not just medicate it.

I have been on it for about 8 weeks now. No spotting, no period but I have pregnancy symptoms. I am a little afraid to take a test but wondered if anyone else had side effects from this pill.

I have tried EVERYTHING in my power to lose 20-30 lbs with months at a time. I am a Vegan. I exercise like crazy. But for some reason, I am still gaining weight! Right now, I'm currently on a diet.... The Vegan Model Diet. But this diet just isn't cutting it for me. NO diet has! Does anyone know a real good diet or trick to where I can lose 20-30 lbs in 1 month?

xoxo

Ppl say i'm a good person and shouldn't take things seriously... but how do you let that stress go? What should i do? How do i calm myself and not beat myself up from the embarrassment and anger.

Like...lets say that someone put a bodily fluid in my ice cream...

and they had hiv...

Could I get it?

One of the websites I was looking at said that HIV can survive in environments of 54 degrees and lower without being in the human body...

Is this true?

Should I worry?

I'm not. I am 13 (girl), 5'5", and 96-98 pounds. I don't have a lot of muscle. There are girls in school who are just as skinny as I am. I do NOT have an eating disorder, but if I say my weight to people they sometimes tell me I am underweight. I don't look underweight, I look skinny. Not too skinny, either. Mostly people who tell me I am underweight are really not in good shape themselves. Can someone tell me if this really DOES sound like I need to gain weight, or am I fine?

The anti smoker crusade seems to rely mainly on politicians who have nothing better to do who want to draw the nutter vote.

By nutter vote I refer to those semi-or-wholly deranged people who zealously persecute smokers wherever they can find them, assail them on the street, spit on them (it happened right in front of me!) and believe in the often outlandish conclusions of any and all "major studies" about secondary smoke.

My question is twofold :

1 - Who ARE those people?

2 - Once smoking is eradicated, who are "they" going to set those monsters upon next?

I'd really like to see the results of any and all "major studies" pertaining to this disquieting segment of society.

p.s: I don't smoke.
