Why are you asking here where all you can do is cause harm to yourself. Why not start with a doctor who at least has the basic training and won't cause you any harm????????pp

RE:
Bone thin upper body,FAT thighs?
I have an extremely thin upper body(i can see all my ribs, spine, and hip bones),but my thighs are very big && have a lot of fat on them. I'm not sure if dieting is the right thing to do because my upper body is so skinny. What should I do?

I'm similar to you, I can see my collarbone, little of spine, outline of my ribs and big thighs with dent of hip bones. I'm also trying to lose weight. I don't suggest dieting because it is only temopary, you diet then weight is gone. Few weeks its back on, making it harder to lose weight in future. Maybe try eat more fruits, vegetables and less junk food/soda. Drink more water, exercise at least 3 times a week, or better, join a sport team at your school. Give time, get healthier and you will def. see the results. Good luck!

You are pear shaped I'm assuming. You can do squats, lunges, if you have access to an elliptical that is a HUGE help in that area. The thing is, when we lose weight we tend to do it all over and "spot" weight loss is kind of impossible. So your upper body might get smaller in the process even though you are working your lower body. But I lost a considerable amount of lower body fat doing the lunges, squats and elliptical.
Good luck.

check out exercises for pear shaped people. Unfortunately, we all have to face genetics at some point. Remember that no one is perfect and that eating right and exercising is the most important thing you can do for yourself. Also, cutting down on carbs, like white bread etc, will help reduce body fat in conjuction with a good diet and exercise program that included resistant training. Pilates is also a great way to help length muscles and create the illusion of longer leaner legs. Good luck and remember that no one is perfect and to focus on the parts of yourself that you love and not the ones that need work!!!

That's how I am...
My mom calls it "table top" because when im sitting at a table, I look so thin. As soon as I get up... Ahhh lol.
Unfortunatly, when you excersize, the weight comes off your stomach first. Try eating less fatty foods filled with carbs. One bagel has a ton of carbs. Just be more careful about what you eat. If you excersize, your legs will just become more firm and muscular, so just eating healthy is your best bet. Excersizing would be nice too, but won't help as much.

it sounds like that is the way your body is just built. My friend also has a very thin upper half and has big hips; she has tried diets and excercising and all it does is tone her body but never makes her hips or thighs any smaller. I guess you just have to learn to love it!

Don't eat second helpings, leave off the sweets, and cut back on your carbohydrates. That is, leave off your potatoes and cut way back on bread. Get plenty of exercise. Try not to snack unless it is fruits and vegetables. Leave off your unhealthy snack especially at night before bedtime.
