I have glasses (+1.25 power)- eye dr. prescribed them for anytime I need them/all the time use if necessary. I have noticed that they help me to see better when I am on the computer, watching tv, even for distance but they are not strong enough for reading- letters are blurry and causes me headaches. Do I need bifocals? I am only 30 years old.

Hi, I have suffered from dizziness for the past 16 months. I went to see my GP about it and they did blood tests which all came back fine. I went back about a month later and they suggested it could be to do with diet, my dietician was convinced that it wasn't but tried different things, none of them worked.
I went back a couple of times and on the last time got told that I would just have to live with it.

I have now changed my GP surgury.
A couple of weeks ago I went to see the new GP who decided to do blood tests, i have now had a letter from her saying that other health professionals have looked into this problem in great depth so she isn't going to do any further investigation!

I also have a mental health problem and my psychologist doesn't want to give me anything until my dizziness is sorted but nobody will look into it.

I really feel I need to go back because the dizziness has been really bad lately but I'm scared to go due to this letter.

What can I do?

I keep blowing up at work and either getting fired or walking out on my jobs. Then I go home and get depressed. Sometimes I think I can fix the whole worlds problems, and when people don't listen to me, that's when I blow up at work.
I keep getting lower paying jobs because of this.
I'm 51 but this has been happening since junior high, (middle school) I think.

im on the lupron shot for my endo. there was a week gap between the shots and i had my period or so i think it was. it was very light and would go off and on again. but now i havent gotten my period like im suppose this month usually around the 25th of the month and its oct.4. should i take a test or not. could it be from the shot. another thing too is that my mother in-law passed away on the day we got engaged so could it be stress because of that happening. what should i do?

I've been to my GP, who has given me all the help she can. I've been refered to the CMHT for an assessment, but I think they might say that I'm not ill enough for help like they did last time. There is no one else my GP can refer me to.

Where else can I get help from?

I'm trying to cope with severe clinical depression, generalised anxiety disorder, social phobia, compulsive overeating disorder and alcoholism.

I already attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

I've been trying to get over my cold and nasty cough. I noticed now that when I cough, mucus or whatever keeps on trying to come out but I just can't seem to spit it out. Is it boogers/mucus? I know it sounds gross but since I can't spit it out, I just end up swallowing it. Does it go down to my stomach and get filtered out or does it go to my lungs and gets tangled up in there? Also, is there any way to not have all these mucus/boogers wanting to come out whenever I have a bad cough again? Any information will help.
Thanks in advance!

I am a 33 year old male, 5' 10" and I currently weight 157. I ususally have been getting about 600 - 1200 calories a day by eating mostly fruits and vegetables. I am a vegetarian and do not eat meat, but I will eat dairy. I do not consume sugar (where I can avoid it of course). Ultimately I would like to get to 150 (maybe 145, but even I think that's a little low, but I would like a little "wiggle" room).

I have been doing pretty good, the lowest I got down to was 152, but I can't seem to maintain it. It seems that I have been holding on to and gaining about a pound a day and I have not been cheating.

I get tons of exercise. I have water aerobics twice a week, when I am not doing that I usually jog when I can, or I walk. When I walk though, I average about 10 miles per day.

Given this information,
How many calories should I be eating a day?
What about the amounts of lean protein, fat, salt, sugar and fibre?

Thanks

Age 29, female, 5'9", 155lbs. I am very unhappy with the "gut" I now have. My eating habits have not changed over the past five years. I exercise once in a while (always have). Nothing has changed. I figured that when I gained 10 lbs in my former job that it was likely due to stress, but I quit in April this year and gained even more going from 143 - 155+. I was 155 the last time I got weighed but I have a feeling I may weigh even more now. I'm not pregnant because there have been absolutely NO signs or symptoms. What would cause me to blow out of all my clothes?

I had an assessment with the Community Mental Health Team on the 17th September. At the assessment, the lady said she'd call within a week. She didn't. I phoned the CMHT the other day, who said they'd send me a letter within 10 - 15 days. I've still not heard anything.

Last time they did this, they eventually got back to me saying that I wasn't ill enough and they couldn't help me.

Is that what they are going to do this time?!

I don't know what I'll do if they say that. I suppose I'll go back to my GP and tell her that there is no point me being on a useless medication and coming to see her every month when there is nothing they can do and I won't be returning or taking medication any more.

like how a homeless person would feel.I feel guilty if I am not thankful for what I have ,when I think how homeless people must feel.I think that is REAL lonliness and depression.to have nobody,to be so ill,you let everything go,and you end up on the street, cold, hungry.
