I am a 33 year old male, 5' 10" and I currently weight 157. I ususally have been getting about 600 - 1200 calories a day by eating mostly fruits and vegetables. I am a vegetarian and do not eat meat, but I will eat dairy. I do not consume sugar (where I can avoid it of course). Ultimately I would like to get to 150 (maybe 145, but even I think that's a little low, but I would like a little "wiggle" room).

I have been doing pretty good, the lowest I got down to was 152, but I can't seem to maintain it. It seems that I have been holding on to and gaining about a pound a day and I have not been cheating.

I get tons of exercise. I have water aerobics twice a week, when I am not doing that I usually jog when I can, or I walk. When I walk though, I average about 10 miles per day.

Given this information,
How many calories should I be eating a day?
What about the amounts of lean protein, fat, salt, sugar and fibre?

Thanks

I don't think you're eating enough calories. your body probably thinks there's a famine so it holds on to every calorie it can to keep you healthy. you should be eating closer to 2000 calories each day. this calculator will help you find out exactly how many calories to consume each day.
